Imagine being there while they were recording this. Not like standing in the middle of the room and being wierd. More like sitting comfy on the floor. In a corner. With a blunt. Oh, boy..
its probably drop B and using some kind of fuzz pedal(not big muff and not all the way up to 10 on the pedal, just there to give enough distortion) that's usually how you get that sound
@@punkoso22 and hot ass pickups, as I remember on one of his interviews. If I'm not mistaken, he even only used like a low gain od even into couple of Echoplexes
If this band had a better drummer they would sound fucking massive live. Don't get me wrong, the drummer they have is good for what they play. But I think they would benefit from a more experienced stickman.
Easy to say, Brady, but if it was different it would be different. When they hit the sweet spot, the fact that his tempo shifts and he plays minimally makes the whole thing breathe and sound massive. They are a true one off - it is what it is, it can't be 'better'. Very difficult music to play because it's a sonic thing, not a chops thing.
finally I've found the band that plays the music I've been hearing in my head for decades. good shit.
Texas,thank you for this band.
Awesome guitar sound in this song, and damn it sounds even better here.
Hell yeah outsider loner rock. These guys rule!!!!
i love this song.
glad to know I´m not the only one.
Love Ludwig..that and Slingerland drums

Oh, boy..
i not sure, in other interviews Dan says what used Boss blues driver branched on 2 combo, and Echodrive as delay...
hard times
You guys are so fucking good. Jesus fuck
from other videos i seen aka Skull eyes... i am pretty sure its a Super Fuzz Gun by Death By Audio.
Best newer band out there. And this is coming from a guy who listens to a lot of different types of rock and metal.
@channelID90 best youtube comment ever
what tuning is that?!?! it's blowing my mind

Guys, tell please what fuzz used Dan ?
He doesn't use any distortion pedals, it's the natural overdriven sound of the guitar.
cranked Super Reverb and preamp from the echoplex

kelly goosecock I think he's perfect for them.
Yeah the drummer is the missing link. He's not dynamic enough and goes for the easy thing.
You're missing the point. True Widow is downbeat heavy. It's sludgy and minimal on purpose.
It's the beauty of simplicity. Their sound is perfect.
