👍💕👍
Thank you! I got a pre-owned planted tank today that I don't even know what to do with.
Well just let it do it's thing, check for ammonia and nitrites being 0ppm and then keep the nitrates between 0 and 60 to 80 ppm max... and if anything dies let me know haha
Makes me want more and more plants 🙈🙈😁🥰😘
Nice content
what a difference maintenance and clean up does great video Alex
Thanks Patricia, i thought this was a boring, toss away - of a video...but im glad it's interesting or helpful to someone :)
I love how everytime I do some major plant tending it seems like all my fish have babies
My goodness. You have a lot of goodness there.
Love this tank. I drew some inspiration from this for my 29G SE Asian tank.
Thanks!
You bet!
Have a good trip away Alex.🤘
Thanks brotha! I will likely post some travel vlogs from my 1300km road trip also. I hope to hunt for some rare purple and white crayfish, as well as some sunfish and shinners.
Sweet video.
I appreciate that! I know it's very dry, unless you're literally looking for new plant ideas or rescaping/refreshing a tank, but whatever- i like to share all my projects
@@Fishtory Ive always wanted to replace some of my old substrate but never had the courage because i was worried about baby shrimp. It wasnt so bad after all
@@Fishtory I am always looking out for new plants.
@@pugamusmaximus totally... i used a Turkey baster and puffed water or air at the area lightly first, then would suction it up (but you can do the same with a small size gravel siphon vacuum)
🤘🐌🥦
For the Algorithm!
My shrimp like to hang out by the filter intake. Silly bastards...
Mine too in my biggest tanks
What is the size of this tank, it doesn't look very big. I need more fish!
Be careful adding Amazonia! You’ll have an ammonia spike
Totally! I was mentioning that ill be adding a cup every 3 days or so, then do water changes 2 or 3 days later...then repeated (spreading it out and folding it into the old substrate, which i removed about 4 gallons of in this video.)
I should have made that more clear probably...since many people would toss a whole bag in and unwittingly kill everyone in the tank.
What's the plant on the top right corner @ 16:41
Hygrophila polysperma rosevrig sunrise aka illegal to buy or sell in most US states...in my state you can't buy or sell it- or transfer it to natural bodies of water- however if it ends up mixed in with a plant auction, stuck on your boat prop, or accidentally sent to you in a free package of plants....then you can have it.
It is very beautiful and under high lights and co2 + fertz...those white veins turn electic yellow, then peach then pink....the leaves then turn from green to yellow to pink as well!
The guppies look beautiful viewed from above also. I've noticed that the flow on your hang on backs is relatively low. Is that by design? Thank you. Safe home.
I finally got all my tanks growing really well. Now it's just a problem of what to with the cuttings/sprouts. No one seems to want the stem plants and I feel bad just throwing it out.
I know! I love stem plants...to the point where like 75% of my 30 tanks have them lol...they are tricky...but if you get some rare or desirable species, selling online and shipping is pretty easy money?
