Damn, at the time of this comment he's got 16 likes on this comment, where as his video has near 900,000 views and an impeccable like to dislike ratio. That's how little people respect Raid at this point. I respect the fact that he needs to make that youtube money, and I don't knock him for it. But it must be tough having a main sponsor for so long that people's respect for has completely dried up. I don't know his situation, but if possible I would abandon the sponsor for another one. But I don't know his situation, or the finer points of youtube sponsorships in general. Still enjoy the content Dankula. :)

I know youtube can be hard for channels that dont turn out child friendly content.
I dont like raid but if they're helping you out by putting some money into your pocket that's obviously being put into the channel to produce more videos than I think that's awesome.

Police and law enforcement officers aren't a different breed of people, they are just normal people made up of me and you. As a result every able townsperson had a responsibility to either do something about it or be crushed beneath his boot. May sound harsh to less experienced people, god bless such people's luck, but you can't always rely on other people to do the work for you, especially when there were no local police. The victims were mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, neighbors, and friends. What kind of good person would you be to let your mother suffer so? Your daughter? Your brother? Agree. It's kind of bittersweet - the situation happening in the first place, the failure and corruption of the law, that's very saddening. The full group of 60 all 'diving for cover' and not seeing the shooter is one of the most satisfying things though. Something about the humanity of people helping someone commit a crime when it's blatantly earned is uplifting to me.
I know there's a few other stories Dankula has told with similar outcomes. One that comes to mind was a guy who abused kids, father hadn't known. The guy was being tried and the father shot him in an airport or something, and pretty much got away with it even though it clearly happened.

As a Missourian myself, I can say that some REALLY shady stuff happened up until the 90’s with rural law enforcement. The sheriff in my county never got paid very much…officially. He would go around to drug dealers and collect his side money in exchange for looking the other way. His daughter would later be murdered and many people around here believe the murder had something to do with the sheriff’s dealings with drug dealers. I worked as a bank teller in town for a few years and the retired sheriff would always come in and deposit cash. Always cash. Obviously there are always going to be crooked cops, but it seems to have drastically improved since the late 90’s. Interesting place to live!

Same!! But I think it's with rural law enforcement in general. I've heard stories from across the river (I'm outside St. Louis) and they can be pretty similar.
One my mom told me happened back in the day when kids kept coming down to the town to vandalize and steal. It wasn't nearly as built up around here as it is now (it was thirty years ago, and the house we live in is as old as I am at 20, so everything is still new), but apparently one got caught by the sheriff and he fucking dangled him off the bridge over a river. The kids never came back after that but that shit is horrible.

The reason the police heavily investigated this man's murder instead of his extreme number of crimes he committed on those who potentially murdered him was because the murder was a complete embarrassment to their police force, because not a single person cooperated with the police on his murder in direct defiance and out of spite of the police's incompetency and the murder was in broad daylight with 60 witnesses.
It is an extreme blow to the police's image for this to happen. Especially because the police could not do this job themselves and constantly let this guy slip. They should have straight up destroyed him themselves, killed him even, because of his unreasonable demeanor and psychotic history. But they didn't. So the people had to do it themselves.

"Waging war against good people is bad for the soul." Well, as Ken found it, seems it's bad for the body too, resulting in a few deserved bullet holes.

Here's something interesting you chaps might like to know. Del Clement, the man whom Trina named as Ken's killer, is actually the owner of the D&G Tavern that Ken haunted, in fact he's the D in the name of the pub. It stands for "Del & Greg Tavern". Sadly he passed on in 2009 from liver disease, someone wrote on his memorial page "He was a good, brave man". I got this from Bustle on their artical "Why the 'no one saw a thing' mystery will never be solved", if anyone's interested on reading about it.

The Midwest in that era, just wasn't prepared for someone to act that way. The people are mostly Scandinavian and German descent. And the way they interact is very civil. They don't have huge emotional outbursts. They hold everything in, and it builds up. Until critical mass is attained, and they lose it. The town collectively lost it and took rash action.

@The Mug Most of Asia, especially Japan, is that way to. A strong sense of boundaries, be civil, and no public displays. Especially of affection. Like Germanic populations, when Asians lose it, they REALLY lose it. They hold so much in and so many social taboos and pressures. Especially with the added concerns about losing face.

Scandinavian huh? Maybe we'll finally get pushed into that corner here at home some day, the criminal justice system here in Sweden functions just about as well as it did in Skidmore back then, police and courts are ridiculously unhelpful and even harmful around these parts.
