I have never seen these questions pop up in any of my industrial electrician/ instrumentation job interviews, except for how to measure 4-20mA and what is a TC, RTD. This is some pretty advanced stuff. The ones Ive always been asked are: 1.Explain 0-10V and 4-20mA and pros and cons. 2. What are the color of the leads of a Thermocouple? Which one is + and --? 3. Do you pour water into acid, or acid into water? 4. How do you terminate a shielded cable. Which side of the cable do you ground? 5. What does 3-15 mean? 6. Do you know what zero and span means? 7. How do ultrasonic sensor work? Theres a couple others that always come up. Theyre pretty basic.
What other questions can you think of that would probably come up. Any videos/literature that someone who has been out of the field for a while could use to brush up on instrumentation basics? Thanks
It's very good explication but there are many information at once sow if you dont mind i have a proposition what if you did mini vidéos ans focos on evry part at once thankyou

Does anyone have any insight into what the physical field evaluation and written evaluation would entail for an E&I Apprentice position? I passed the EEI MASS test and have these coming up. Thanks
I agree. I would think bypass closure would be last. If you open the HP side first with the bypass closed the transmitter would see a very large pressure differential. Example: if the transmitter was taken out of service or replaced on a 450lb steam flow system and you opened the HP side the DPT would see a 450 lb differential. Often times steam flow transmitters are calibrated 0 to 100 inches of water using orface plates so damage could be a real possibility.
Why HP & LP tapping is done at 45 degree in process line for FIT Where K type TC is mostly used Explain transfer of signal from DCS to control valve How to calibrate interface level transmitter. What is actually marshalling cabinet
HP & LP Tapping is done at 45 degree in process line to avoid any entrapped gases & to avoid any pipe dirt particles in pipe lines Type K is commonly used in nuclear applications because of its relative radiation hardness. DCS sends 4-20mA signal to I/P converter. I/P converter converts 4-20mA signal into 3-15 psi signal. Then 3-15 psi signal goes to control valve to control the flow. I have made one video on Interface Level Measurement. Please see below link. th-cam.com/video/Z9S2mgVM3FU/w-d-xo.html The marshalling cabinet acts as an interface between the system cabinet and field junction boxes. The main cables are laid from the field junction boxes to the marshalling cabinet. The prefab cables from the system cabinet IO cards are also terminated in the marshalling cabinet.

Hi @@imayleakount9610
We have made a decent chunk of videos on HART, CONTROL VALVES, and basic instrumentation interviews. Kindly check those :)
Thank you very much. The Q&A is simple to understand and on point . This has helped me a lot .
Thank you. I really appreciate your comment

@@jackfeak2364The steps mentioned in the video is first open EQ and then only HP. Then why do say it is the opposite.
