    Fun fact: This mask (and tusa hyflex switch fins) was the only mask featured in japanese anime about scuba diving "grand blue"

    I could be wrong but i think you missed the very thin silicon at the upper lip part that is designed to accomodate divers with moustache.

      That is specifically mentioned in the video

    This is the best Scuba or snorkel mask that I have ever used in over 50 years of diving both professionally and recreationally. I probably own at least 12 other masksand this TUSA is better than the Atomic masks the Mares and the Zeagle masks. It has the best face seal esspecially if you have facial hair, even a little stubby bit of whiskers. Seal to your face, comfort as well as less fogging outperform my Atomic Venom mask which costs 3 times as much.

      A great mask for sure. Others like the venom you mentioned have the quality but they absolutely have to fit to work. Yours must fit you well. A great thing when you find the right one for you. Enjoy, more vids coming soon. Freddy

    Can you use it to snorkel to

    • @coralkeyscuba
      @coralkeyscuba ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. Any scuba mask can be used to snorkel except full face masks. But some snorkel masks cannot be used for scuba diving because they are too basic, or wrong materials. Thanks for watching. Freddy

    Great video! I have been looking for info on this mask. Love the detail you put into this review! I bought an EXPENSIVE Atomic Venom mask and because of my large brow, it hit the nose piece. So I can't wear a low volume mask cause my brow hits the nose piece or even the glass! I like the features of this! Thank you!!

      Hi Kenneth. Thank you for this reply! Sorry that your other mask didn't work out for you. Atomic does make amazing products, but it is most important to find the mask out there that fits your face shape the best. If there is a way for you to go try on this Tusa mask before buying it, that would be your best option just to make sure that it fits you better. In our experience, this mask does seem to fit about 90% of the people that try it on.

      @@LeviathanScuba Yea, I agree the best is to try one on before you buy. I'm going to look at one tomorrow. Thank you.

      Had exactly the same issue with a Cressi Z1 i ordered online... my brow hit the glass! lol . So followed Freddy's recommendation and went fit all the masks in our local dive shop. This TUSA mask fit me like a globe right away and bought it. Will test it next month in Cozumel!! Thanks for the great vids @Leviathan Scuba!

    Is this a good mask for small long faces? What is the volume when we say it's low volume?

    • @LeviathanScuba
      @LeviathanScuba  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Not so much. Sorry I missed this comment until now. They (TUSA) has another mask called the CEOS that would fit a smaller longer face better. Atomic framless specifically the Medium size would also be a good choice. Thanks for watching. Freddy

    I currently have 3 Tusa Freedom Ceos dive masks, which I am more than satisfied with. I have 3 as being a Technical diver I like to carry two spare masks - just in case. Question please - This new Tusa mask, can you pre-order them with with prescription lenses ? In my current masks, all the lenses have been changed.

    • @coralkeyscuba
      @coralkeyscuba 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Roger. The Freedom Elite mask cannot be ordered with prescription lenses since it is a single lens mask. You would to purchase it and then send it in to company that can customize it. We usually use a company called Prescription Dive Masks.

    I'm in the market for a mask+snorkel because after a dozen dives I realised that as you said, is the element that can make or break your experience.
    Even though I'm impressed with this one, I'd love to save some money and I was looking at something like the Cressi (model ZDN282000ag). What are your thoughts?
    I think a budget mask will make a great video review.
    Thank you!

      Hi Rodrigo. Thanks for the recommendation. Unfortunately, it's hard to say if this would be the right mask for you or not. It's best to have someone at a dive shop look at it on your face to see if it fits you or not. We carry many many masks for the purpose of guaranteeing fit. You could try 10 mask on and have only 1 fit you correctly. Or you could have on of those faces that seems to work with almost every mask. From what I am reading about this set is that it is specifically for snorkeling and freediving, so you probably wouldn't want to use it for scuba diving. Scuba diving masks have a lot more support on the sides of the silicone because of the pressure as you get deeper. Hope this helps.

    What cleaner do you suggest for preparing my mask for first time use? Thank you

    • @coralkeyscuba
      @coralkeyscuba 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There a couple of different cleaners that we use. We like the JAWS Scrub and the Gear Aid Sea Buff.
