Listening to this again for the first time in ages (I can remember when KNDD-FM out of Seattle played it at the time of its release and I was slightly obsessed with it), the keyboard riffs sound something like Jez Usbourne or Super Hans were, or would be doing in the days of Danny Dyer's Chocolate Homunculus/Man Feelings and in accordance with the Big Beat Manifesto - but *NOT* Mama's Kumquat or The Hair Blair Bunch.
Acid and SOD? Respect is due. Where'd you see them with DC? I saw the same but for the life of me can't remember where. Great bands. SOD and Finitribe in Windsor Old Trout is memorable.
RandallSlick it was Wolverhampton Civic Hall if memory serves (and it’s not unlikely for obvs reasons 🤯 ) - same place i also saw Pantera the same year 93 (?)
@@parkerspupsters362 Never got up that way so I'm guessing when I saw SoD and DC was in London. What was Wolverhampton like back then? I'm in Reading which went down the tubes for bands when I arrived in 89. Pantera. That brings back back a memory. Mate of mine was well into them but he was into Def Leppard as well so being young, all I did was take the p. Will have to listen again. I was off metal by 93 alas. Pills and indy and wotnot.
RandallSlick hahah Def Lep helped me on the way to get into alternative music.. I cringe now to hear how clean and polished they sound 😆 I went to uni in London in 93... then got in with a load of ravers do drifted away from metal... for a while 🤘🏻😉🤘🏻
That whole DC and SOD tour was insanity. I was on the crew, every night was incredible. The bands were both shit hot and punter was amazing at every show, packed em out and went fuckin crazy. Lots of great tales from that particular tour!
30 years ahead of our time to be precise, now is our time. I’m the new messiah, that’s a given, from the dead I have risen. Dead Lee to DastardLee… 3 new albums , 1 a year and almost continuous world tours for those 3 years… that’s the plan. Come and watch it happening, we’ll be playing near you…
I met Alan Titchmarsh at their gig in Tiverton. The memories of those vinyl chaps with built-in trowel-holder is horrific but the conversation about Pelargoniums has helped me with several marriages.
these guys where the real deal back in the day.... our skate days early to mid 90's and fucking trash and punk (Pantera or Death Angel) these guys where the uber shit of electronic!
hahaha Omg I fell so hard for this song with the horse sample and have a couple of your cds still., Saw ya'll live twice. Once in Austin the other in Detroit. HIt the Detroit show alone on a lark, you guys were with Test Dept. Hung out after. Recall Duncan? Lee? (singer) having that rare metal musk scent some men have that should be bottled. 🖤 Toward the end someone floated a "sandwich" joke and figured I'd leave before getting too nuts. Good times. I miss the 90s so much.
Saw Sheep On Drugs, Meat Beat Manifesto, and Young Gods at the same gig. Fcuking epic!
Wow
Loudest gig I've ever been to.
might have been there... London?

A band way ahead of their time. Glad I was there! Thanks King Duncan and Dead Lee!
Think the kids at Boomtown would have got the younger versions. Not so much now.
