Great reaction! what you're saying about the sound might just be mic technique, dropical dosen't have too much experience battling live so it's probably that, love your content man, big up!
I think the difference you hear is because Zero is more powerful simply, Dropical is very complex and unique but I think it lacks a bit of power live. But yeah you can hear clearly an echo for Zero on his clicks

they both have reverb, too much reverb it's distracting
could be that each beatboxer purposely had their mics set up that way because they think it'll help with their routine, sort of like what they do with wildcards

5:05 there isn't any beatboxers in the crowd actually and some people say russian crowd doesn't really like to show their emotions thats why the crowd is dead
bruh thats bs, they just a random crowd that is not interested in the beatbox in the slighest, thats why they dont react at all, regular people find fart noises from the mouth not enjoyable to listen to(i personally know few people like that). And there are not really a lot of beatbox fans in Russia in the first place, beatbox always is a niche thing for a few people even in EU and NA

Dropical is just a quieter beatboxer than zer0 is so that is why the mic sounds weaker.

dropical vs scream is also a good battle from this event. there is no videos of this particular battle, but you can find it on the stream of whole event - it will be easy, cause all stream divided into parts so you can easily find the necessary one - its worth checking

Dropical tends to be a lot quieter acoustically. Its pretty well emphasized in Helium's beatbox game video.
They were speaking Russian, which you probably know by now and I agree, beatbox has evolved since I was an early teen. Back then a good boombap beatbox was amazing, now I’m sat here like ‘at what point did it evolve into them being able to do death metal and dubstep combined?’

What a crazy battle of technicality. Firstly, this was one of Dropical's first live battles as he is mostly an online battler. Zero also started with online, but he has some experience with live. That is why he sounded more powerful. Please react to the Tag Team Loops from GBB2021; they aren't to be missed. I'm going to start counting lol: today is day one of asking Cliff to react to Tag Team loops from GBB2021.

Actually, dropical beatboxs softly in general cause he's from that online battle scene. Though I'm sure eventually he'll start beatboxing louder the more he does it live. (well actually it's not a valid excuse since Zer0 is also an online beatboxer so it's rather a difference in experience)

dropical doesnt have his own style yet. hes still copying inertia, remix and one or 2 others... zero hes been doing his thing and is for sure crisper
You're so wrong, Dropical is not copying anyone. He has his own tech that no one else does. Also, why is he copying inertia? Because he does inward bass? His texture is completely different from inertia's and his bass patterns are different too.
