Superb set Paul, just goes to show that persistence really does pay off. I like the long exp work best as i prefer to work that style myself. If your ever in the North East of UK i would love to show you some great early morning sunrises namely Saint Marys Lighthouse, also Bamburgh castle, Warkworth castle and Dunstanburgh castle. Great for doing long exp work in day light. Great vid and excellent content.
Thanks for sharing Paul. Sadly the coast line here in Norfolk changes each week. I run workshops here and have to do regular reccie... I never get bored! Books are great but get out dated very quickly. Enjoy your visit and hope to see you again here in Norfolk
Came across your channel when you were in Hunstanton, bought the book which will make my summer project. I live in King's Lynn so already have some of these locations. Enjoy your videos, keep up the great work 👍
I always check the date on the Google maps images as some are years old then I head over to flickr to look for most recent shots of the area I'm planning to see what may have vanished . Nice shots
Hi Paul fantastic vlog really enjoyed watching it, it just goes to show things don’t stay the same but you had a back up plan that work out well in the end thank you for sharing your video.
It just shows how persistence pays off, you could have turned it in after the initial disappointment, but no you carried on and got some superb images, great stuff, Colin.
Thought I was going to see a pawn blog! Good to see you had plan A,B,C. Worked out probably better than planned? Great pictures, any chance of including what ND filters you used to give the extended shutter times in the shot details? Didnt seem that long (run time) Really enjoyed this set of vlogs so far Thanks Tony
I think it all worked out well, sometimes plans aren't all their cracked up to be! Regarding the photos, the straight on colour shots do it for me because of the algae or seaweed contrasting the sea and sky B&W don't bring out these vibrant colours 📷👍
New guide books needed (2nd edition?) Update, download, sat nav, never mind its all good holiday fun! at least you had a dip and you was near a car park, and at the end of the day or should I say start of your day you got a picture. Thank you.
A good example of why scouting a location is so important , something i really need to do myself, however the location you found here was ideal for that sky you had , lots of drama and mood and really worked nice with the subject, the groynes. Some really nice long exposure images mate.
After the disappointment of part one, which was a definite kick in the groyne (Lol) part two was purely magical. Lots of superb images and I could tell from your body language that you really enjoyed your morning. Great stuff mate📷👍🥇
I always have to change my plan when I go out so now I just have a rough idea of what I want then use the old brain cells to figure something out, great video I always enjoy your vlogs
All good shots. I prefer the more dynamic shots at faster shutter speeds ...... long exposures of groynes and the sea is soooooo last decade ;-) Amazed that you got to park overnight next to the beach, they'll be some underpaid council employee put up 'No Overnight Parking' signs as we speak.
@@paulcomptonpdphotography I found the one about the sea stacks which included a passing shot of the harbour without the pier but have not found a 2nd one.
Well you certainly saved the vlog. Spectacularly. Brilliant photos, loved them all. Thank you.
I tried just shame I had my head set on other location

I always like your black and white minimalist shots but I think this time the colour images that show the movement in the water are my favourites.
Why thank you wide xxx

No one works a scene like you can. Each one was different and beautiful. Love your videos!

You should worry I went all the way to the Llyn Peninsula to shoot the wooden pier in Trevor only to find it had been removed. Regards
