Great video! BTW, it opens the previous config when you just do `nvim` after running an alias because you export the `NVIM_APPNAME` in previous command. Then the `NVIM_APPNAME` is applied for the whole shell and not just for the immediate command you execute. Try changing that to something like `alias v='NVIM_APPNAME=neobean nvim" which only sets the env for the current command.
@@dulajdisanayaka Now that you bring it up, it makes the most sense in the world, I cannot thank you enough. Updated that everywhere, Including my blogpost articles that mention it. If you see any other similar improvements, please let me know 🙇
i cant paste in neovide from my clipboard using shift insert or control shift v but in but neovim allows that , i would love to paste stuff ;-; is this a wayland problem? idk
@@averagetechnologyenojyer I don't use Linux so I have no idea, buuuuut check the "copy and paste" part of the "Neovide section" in my options.lua file

As much as I love the things that neovide provides it just isn't for me. Having neovim in the terminal means you've all the utilities of your terminal available to you as well and i would never be able to use neovide or do everything that i do in a terminal and integrate all of that inside neovim imo it defeats the purpose of neovim itself which is being a text editor. To its credit it does look a lot crisp compared to how my terminal fonts look like and i think that's the only advantage i see in using it.

What's the program name that you are using on the right side to note what you will talk about in the video?

🙂👍
Lazygit is great no doubt, but have you considered neogit? It is superb and the integration is tight while in Neovim.

control shift v is keybind of your terminal emulator, not nvim. it should be possible to configure the same behavior in neovide
