Having met Connie and her family many times and have been able to attend a few performances around this country I can honestly say Connie and her family are so down to earth and relaxed . I too have followed Connie's career since her happy BGT days. I cannot help noticing how similar the career path with Connie and your Jackie Evancho. Both born in the same year and both are superbly well grounded with loving families. Both obviously love performing and they both make you feel uplifted for listening to them. Hey Connie, I am thinking this is mostly the Eva Cassidy arrangement of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, is that correct? For this song, I usually think of 3 versions. The original, the Israel Kamakawiwo'ole version that Aselin Debison also did so very well when she was still a preteen, and then the Eva Cassidy that hit so big in England several years after her death. Great to see some of her spirit living on through you Connie. Great original at the end too. I hope we hear lots and lots of originals from you in the near future.
About 13.40 Mike commented that whilst in Tesco about a year ago no-one pestered Connie. I think that where she lives she's not regarded as a celebrity. She's seen as our daughter, our sister, our friend, our neighbour, our classmate etc. She has a right to a private life even if she's out with someone or by herself. I hope people see her other songs she does and also writes her self. Connie is so talented she is a musician playing Guitar piano so far. What I don't get in Europe is how she is not top of the bill in huge stadiums like Glastonburry. I wonder how hard it is for her type of voice to sing heavey metal? I follow another Band with fantastic real Musicians song writers singer as in heavy metal The Mini Band perhaps she could do a mettle song with them some day.
I'm a big Eva Cassidy fan. And when singers try to sing Eva's version of a song, it is usually cringe worthy. But here, Connie shows her great talent and does an admirable performance of "Over the Rainbow".
Such a pretty young girl I would like to know to know when she can come to the united kingdom and do a concert I would to go along to see her and that will be the best 50th birthday gift ever for me.

Can someone explain to me these times. Back in 1965, there were a handful of television stations. Millions of viewers equaled household name status. It seems like Connie Talbot made it, but at the same time, not made the major leagues. Possibly it's a good thing in terms of normalcy. I think the people in England don't appreciate a good British accent. Also, I think the older she gets, the much higher the bar elevates. I once made a joke.... I used to be wise beyond my years, but then I got older. There is a certain novelty window. We think of Shirley Temple being a child for decades....but she was only a child for a decade or so. Please give me a perspective... Are certain stars from Disney Channel more famous? If so....doesn't mean much, because they seem so superficial. And if Simon gave her a contract at age 6, would her status be like the Beatles? I heard that if the Beatles came about today, they would not be so famous because the industry is so fragmented. Anyway, she reached the top by herself, (and family) and being herself. But possibly the next level would be that she brushes off politely on answering things like how she got on BGT. I don't know if I would have the patience.
Shirley Temple was certainly no Connie Talbot in terms of talent, though I could see Connie as a very effective politician. The closest thing I can recall of a child with this much talent was the legendary Michael Jackson. The world can wait. At least Disney didn't get their hooks into her. In the meantime, she has laid down so many unbelievable tracks, many of them originals, that it would take weeks & weeks to discover them all. Fortunately for me, I've been scouring the web since 2008 trying to absorb all of her incredible vocals. There are so many obscure clips that it boggles the mind. There is a wild side to Ms. Talbot and I can't wait to see her express that part of herself.

I hope people see her other songs she does and also writes her self. Connie is so talented she is a musician playing Guitar piano so far. What I don't get in Europe is how she is not top of the bill in huge stadiums like Glastonburry. I wonder how hard it is for her type of voice to sing heavey metal? I follow another Band with fantastic real Musicians song writers singer as in heavy metal The Mini Band perhaps she could do a mettle song with them some day.
I'm a big Eva Cassidy fan. And when singers try to sing Eva's version of a song, it is usually cringe worthy. But here, Connie shows her great talent and does an admirable performance of "Over the Rainbow".

She is one of the best singers far some people say that they are a lot kids better then her yes maybe but they are not brave not like Connie she has a special way of singing she sing songs on her way she is not a kid that want to be famoust and make money and be cool at school she is a girl who wants to sing no metter what that is how i see here and i listen her for almost 3 years now so i think lots of girls with her talent aren't great as her cause they just want to be famoust and you can here that on their voice ;)

Back in 1965, there were a handful of television stations.
Millions of viewers equaled household name status.
It seems like Connie Talbot made it, but at the same time, not made the major leagues.
Possibly it's a good thing in terms of normalcy.
I think the people in England don't appreciate a good British accent.
Also, I think the older she gets, the much higher the bar elevates. I once made a joke.... I used to be wise beyond my years, but then I got older.
There is a certain novelty window. We think of Shirley Temple being a child for decades....but she was only a child for a decade or so.

But possibly the next level would be that she brushes off politely on answering things like how she got on BGT.
I don't know if I would have the patience.
Shirley Temple was certainly no Connie Talbot in terms of talent, though I could see Connie as a very effective politician. The closest thing I can recall of a child with this much talent was the legendary Michael Jackson. The world can wait. At least Disney didn't get their hooks into her. In the meantime, she has laid down so many unbelievable tracks, many of them originals, that it would take weeks & weeks to discover them all. Fortunately for me, I've been scouring the web since 2008 trying to absorb all of her incredible vocals. There are so many obscure clips that it boggles the mind. There is a wild side to Ms. Talbot and I can't wait to see her express that part of herself.
