Great info. Just starting my own small painting business tips as possible. Be following thank you. Love the tint idea. What kind of dye is that? You add that to spackle/ mudd patch?
That's just carpenter's string line chalk, available in several colors, and it can be added to any spackle/joint compound. Best wishes on your journey!
Good question - not totally sure yet. I know of guys in the industry that buy a backpack and a small toolkit for each new hire, as well as other guys who only get those for people who stick around for a certain amount of time. I think that whole kit that I outlined can support 2-3 people max on one job site, so I'll probably just need to duplicate certain things once I move past that phase or have multiple active job sites.
@@advicefromayoungtradesmant2482 What do you mean by damage? I've not noticed an effect of freezing on tape. How do you know the tape has been damaged from freezing?
@@mikerichter1694The theory is that freeze/thawing affects the edge lock technology and it doesn't work as well, and it also just comes off the roll differently and isn't as flexible if it's been frozen for a while.
Love the Purdy backpack. A few minor drawbacks, but it’s a great tool bag overall.
A little front heavy but yeah overall it's a good addition!
@@advicefromayoungtradesmant2482 Haha. Yes. That is my main gripe.
Exactly the video I was looking for. Thanks
Very welcome, subscribe for an updated version later this winter!

Wow, that van shelf is amazing! And where did you get the idea for the rubber mat in the van!
There's a local van nerd who helped me out!
Will you be purchasing one of those back packs and the tools that you keep in them for your employees once you bring on new hires?

How did you find out freezing damages masking tape?
Trial and error and polling a large number of great painters in my circle.
