    why is the P going to the other direction when youre looking for F ? i really appreciate your vids by the way.

      P is the force pushing the two plates together that causes the friction to stop the rotation. F is the force on the lever arm that pushes the two plates together. Because the arms on that L shaped piece are not the same length P and F are not equal.

    Why is R1= 100mm?

      R1=100mm because that is the radius of the inner circle of the disk where the two plates are pushing together. R1 and R2 are used as part of the equation to find the friction between those two plates.
