My goodness that bestech exclusive is an incredible value with MC and carbon fiber, love that it also has a carbon fiber back spacer for a fine finished feel. I really like the Knife Center exclusive!
I got the Bestech Slasher earlier in the week and it's pretty good. It's a bit heavier than you'd expect, but that's about where the criticism ends. The liners have some weight relieving, but it'd be nice to have more, or do a half liner like a lot of Benchmades do... they'd probably have to thin the bladestock out to keep the balance though, and that deviates a lot from the standard model. It took a heck of a lot of effort to reprofile the edge to 15 degrees, and my diamond stones felt like they were skating over it rather than biting into it. Great signs that they hit their 61-63HRC target, which is also Hogue's target. 64+ HRC is pretty difficult to hit in a production setting, so that stated "sweet spot" is probably only going to really happen on custom blades outside of some happy coincidences. I have the K320 Drop Point heading to me now. Pretty amazed that it clocks in about $30 less than the Magnacut/G10 Deka's with a larger blade and arguably more expensive handle material. Looks comfy.
Just purchased the k320 in magnacut from you guys. I’m so excited. Used my knife rewards points and with the Black Friday sales going on just got a kick a$$ deal I couldn’t refuse. Love you guys.
Magnacut is not available for sale in China. That’s not to say they didn’t get it 3rd or 4th hand, but that adds costs and the potential for shenanigans. I have a swordfish in “Magnacut” that is already showing surface pitting. At best you’re buying a trademark infringement. At worst, a complete knockoff. The Made in America “tax” gives me some assurance that I’m getting what I’m paying for.
On the K320 DCA, you say that you don’t have to worry about dirt getting in to the Pivot because of Washers as opposed to Washers ?? Are they ball bearings or washers? Thanks
They are washers (which I much prefer for that reason dirt and grime effect it much less than a bearing knife) but it's all about whatever you like, and your intended use when it comes to knives.
That new MKM folder is very nice! Just got my Pocket Tango in last week n love the lil guy! Sanded down the leather on the contact points inside, to add that lil extra friction for better pocket retention.. This is my second fixed blade knife and what would u recommend to be a larger companion to it? Thanks DCA
that Toor Mullet with M4 is so sick. I really like that Toor is using those steels. Cru Wear and M4 will be such a cool steel to have with those knives and Toors distinct design language.
If mkm and viper would put washers in the pivot of the turn and hero I would buy both in a heartbeat. I really like the look of the turn with a bolster but the bearings turn me away a bit. I'll probably get one at some point though
Depends on heat treat and edge geometry. A stainless steel usually wont have as much edge retention as a carbon steel, but for the two qualities you mentioned I would say 15v (only on spyderco knives at the moment if I recall correctly) or magnacut. The latter being much more available now than it was when it first came out a few years ago. You could write a book on steels with those two categories, but if you have any other questions feel free to ask. I’m sure others will chime in also 👍
I wonder if Helle out the clip like that so it's more comfortable in use. Since it would be a baby bushcraft knife. Since it's not one hand opening it des really matter which way it faces in your pocket
I live in PA and I did not know the case is in Bradford,PA! Zippo is also out of Bradford. After searching a bit, turns out Case is owned be Zippo! Yowza!!
Magnacut is impressive in 3 categories, but the 4th category where it falls off is price, at least for now. 14cn28n is arguably a more impressive steel because it excels in all 3 categories (not quite as highly as Magnacut) as well as price because it’s a fine blankable conventional ingot steel.
As DCA was firing that auto I think the noise compressor or whatever it's called kicked in! That Helle Nord is very similar to the Casström Lars Fält Knife but one hundred dollars more expensive. Great piece though. Toor Mullet is a beauty!
any body else see that he Dawson Knives War Dog is already discontinued? The video came out 6--6 and I liked at the website 6-7. Either it was a very limited drop or something is wrong on the website.
Could you do a Magnacut vs other steels for comparison? You mentioned some steels are tougher, more stainless or better edge retention but sophisticated like some real comparisons. Thanks
WAY overpriced for what you get, have felt that way for many years. I try to support American manufacturers but they make it extremely difficult for us average people.
I just watched the Bridgeline intro. It looks like Case still has some work to do in their Micarta department. Maybe it's a trick of my eye or the camera, but it sure looked like quite subpar workmanship to me.
I own like milion knives and I don't need any other. However I always like to watch how David presents new knives, the way he talks, the voice... Just love it 🙂 The main trouble is that always when I finish watching the video I realize that there are still plenty of knives that I want 😂
With Benchmade getting their start with balisong knives, is that where the vernacular "Butterfly Knife" comes from? Could it perhaps, be the other way around; the logo was inspired by their startup product? 🤔
Two years ago I decided to collect knives. Unfortunately, I had to stop. The prices for production, non-custom knives have sky rocketed to ridiculous levels. I’m out.
So sig saur is stealing the design from the boker tdk and sdk? I'm pretty confused as to what is going on. I've had the bokers or ordered for months and now these come out? Can somebody please explain?
These American companies pushing out magacut models for the same price or less than a bugout is pretty impressive. Think Benchmade will take a hint and fix their prices lol
Those Toor knives look brilliant. Too bad there are no re-sellers in the Netherlands. And always funny that Mr. Anderson always get very nervous when it comes to tactical knives, because stabby stabby pokey pokey.
The blade is tanto. Tonto was the native American in the lone ranger. And bench made is hilarious!!!! I wouldn't pay 400 and something for a butterfly knife? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
OVER 300 BUCKS FOR A PRACTICE KNIFE?!?!? WOW! Who does Benchmade think they are?? That is absolutely ridiculous. Their knives are stupidly priced anyways but wow for a knife that isn't even a knife just because it has a butterfly logo costs over 300 bucks. That's disgusting. I am, a gun guy who has started collecting knives. I thought guns were way overpriced. Not anymore. Knives are so, stupidly expensive I'm going back to buying guns lol. I can't justify spending 500 plus bucks and not get a gun for it.
Benchmade is out of their freaking minds! Scraping against $500 for a bali with S30V... Not including the blade... It's two stamped pieces of basic stainless, a bit of milled G10, and a couple sets of ball bearings. That is only a few bucks in materials at best. The blade isn't making up the rest of that, and neither is the labor. You can get entire firearms for that price. Something with substantially more components, and more complicated machine work and assembly. I dont know about knives, it seems like the big sellers work directly with the manufacturers, but firearms pretty much get sold to distributors first, then the individual stores. So there is a middleman markup already built into the pricing. I like a good knife, and have spent a few hundred on one... But this is getting crazy.
Benchmade only concerned with money! Had a custom knife made and they didn’t even include a cleaning cloth, also never responded when asked about this.
My goodness that bestech exclusive is an incredible value with MC and carbon fiber, love that it also has a carbon fiber back spacer for a fine finished feel. I really like the Knife Center exclusive!
My son got me the k320 drop point for father's day. It is awesome.
The Hogue K320 is one of the most comfortable knives that I've ever held. Plus, Hogue always ships its knives with an insanely sharp edge.
I got the Bestech Slasher earlier in the week and it's pretty good. It's a bit heavier than you'd expect, but that's about where the criticism ends. Bestech Knife Center collabs are the best bang for buck in the industry.
I like that Helle Raud. Left hand carry equals right back pocket carry for me, works well depending on what I'm doing
Got my Hogue k320 coming Monday
$135 for magnacut, marbled CF, and an crossbar lock? 2024 is very cool
Only for knives without the "made in the USA tax" though.
Magnacut is not available for sale in China. That’s not to say they didn’t get it 3rd or 4th hand, but that adds costs and the potential for shenanigans.
I have a swordfish in “Magnacut” that is already showing surface pitting.

Love my Viper Turn, so very tempted by that MKM Hero.
Yup, one of the most well made knives I own. Yellow dark matter CF handles. I can hear that Hero calling. Nice handle options too.
I added a zip tie to the little thumb hole on my K320 to make it waveable from the pocket.
Great idea
K320 Magnacut Drop Point..................ORDER UP
On the K320 DCA, you say that you don’t have to worry about dirt getting in to the Pivot because of Washers as opposed to Washers ?? Are they ball bearings or washers? Thanks
They are washers (which I much prefer for that reason dirt and grime effect it much less than a bearing knife) but it's all about whatever you like, and your intended use when it comes to knives.
Helle Raud M is a beauty. I'm definitely picking one up.
Can the blades on those Hogue K320s be swapped with other K320 models? I want the walnut inlay with an uncoated blade.
I have the Rat II in S35VN, but I'd sure buy another one in Magnacut, Cruwaer, or Elmax!
That new MKM folder is very nice! Just got my Pocket Tango in last week n love the lil guy! Sanded down the leather on the contact points inside, to add that lil extra friction for better pocket retention.. This is my second fixed blade knife and what would u recommend to be a larger companion to it? Thanks DCA
Working on something ;) -DCA
What would you call the pattern for the case bridge line? Barlow buster? I really like that one!
Your website is saying the Helle Raud is unavailable, WTF?
that Toor Mullet with M4 is so sick. I really like that Toor is using those steels. Cru Wear and M4 will be such a cool steel to have with those knives and Toors distinct design language.
When ya getting that drop-point K320 back in stock??
That k320! Holy smokes! I have an og one with synthetic scales... This may be my next purchase
That Helle Raud is wood carving knife. No gap, good.
Hello from Puerto Rico
That’s about the first ZT ever that appeals to me. But I see why not everyone is liking that. It’s a bit out of the ordinary for ZT.
Agreed, it's a beauty and the blade is gorgeous, too bad the handle isn't as nice as the blade though but I am picky as hell.
I really like the Toor Knives 👍
If mkm and viper would put washers in the pivot of the turn and hero I would buy both in a heartbeat. I really like the look of the turn with a bolster but the bearings turn me away a bit. I'll probably get one at some point though
Love both the Helles. 🎸🔪
Is thr Buck Redpoint considered a crossbar lock? I loved that knife about 10 years ago. I no longer see them at stores for the original 20$ pricetag.
That OTF is a beauty!!
Any estimates on when the lil native lightweight is coming?
I love that tanto k320 so much. Is it here to stay, or is it limited?
Since it is an exclusive I would say once they are gone you won’t be able to get one.
Oh yeahhhhh. Love watching these
That ZT 0545 looks nice!
That Sharkbomb pry tool looks like it has an O2 wrench hole as well?
3.5 is above average!! Hell yah!
What’s the best toughness and edge retention steel?
Depends on heat treat and edge geometry. A stainless steel usually wont have as much edge retention as a carbon steel, but for the two qualities you mentioned I would say 15v (only on spyderco knives at the moment if I recall correctly) or magnacut. 450 for a balisong wtf
Haven’t even started the video let me guess benchmade?
Ofc 😂
@@floridaman727 you guessed it
Benchmade prices are now ridiculous. They’re been increasing rapidly over the last years
$450 for a balisong is a fairly common phenomenon. $450 for a Benchmade bali? Hahahaha, no.
I wonder if Helle out the clip like that so it's more comfortable in use. Since it would be a baby bushcraft knife. Since it's not one hand opening it des really matter which way it faces in your pocket
*Washers in K320!!! Right after you didn’t say bearings… anyways what’s the HRC!? I definitely tempted!!! Thanks KC
I live in PA and I did not know the case is in Bradford,PA! Zippo is also out of Bradford. After searching a bit, turns out Case is owned be Zippo! Yowza!!

I am not a pry bar person but why would vosteed put that oval near the prying tip on their shark bomb pry bar?
As DCA was firing that auto I think the noise compressor or whatever it's called kicked in!
That Helle Nord is very similar to the Casström Lars Fält Knife but one hundred dollars more expensive.
Great piece though.
Toor Mullet is a beauty!
any body else see that he Dawson Knives War Dog is already discontinued? The video came out 6--6 and I liked at the website 6-7. Either it was a very limited drop or something is wrong on the website.
Can you do a take on eka knifes swedish knifes
Can someone explain MagnaCut. Is it new or is it like 3-4 years old?
Hello from Norway 🇳🇴
What is your favorite Cold Steel knife, and why?
Sr1 lite, around $40, and indestructible
Luzon. For its fight size yet compact at also $40
I really wish Sig would make the blade slot bigger on the K320, it's just too small to do a good finger flick!
Wish ZT would do a more ambi lock on those new knives. Framelocks with reversible clip looks weird af.
Could you do a Magnacut vs other steels for comparison? You mentioned some steels are tougher, more stainless or better edge retention but sophisticated like some real comparisons. Thanks
The Dawson War Dog LE is already discontinued?!
that helle nord is hella beautiful 🤯
CJRB really making me wait for those Large Pyrite Wharncliffe variants!
Yes
Love the hogues
Does anyone else think Benchmade prices are outrageous? Maybe I'm just a tight wad?
Im convinced they are trying to get as much money before they put themselves out of business
Some of their stuff is a little pricey. And some's not too bad
I just don't think you get what you pay for anymore from Benchmade.
WAY overpriced for what you get, have felt that way for many years. I try to support American manufacturers but they make it extremely difficult for us average people.
BM is outrageous. Grivory handles at premium prices. Pass.
I wish Civivi would make a flipper button lock Elementum that's the same size of the fixed blade Elementum!
I just watched the Bridgeline intro. It looks like Case still has some work to do in their Micarta department. Maybe it's a trick of my eye or the camera, but it sure looked like quite subpar workmanship to me.
The edges looked fuzzy. Not great.
I really like that case, but I wish they had stuck to slip joint 😭 plenty of lockers on the market already. ah well, it's going on my wishlist anyway
So......who needs a edc pry bar? Every time I ever needed one, I needed a LOT more leverage than 2.5-3.5 inches could offer.
Literally over paid office staff nobody's that can pay a crazy price for a pry bar that's just big enough for paper clips...
DCA, you are crazy CPM Cruwear is tougher and more stainless than m4. And almost as much edge retention. But m4 is chippy, Cruwear is almost 3v
m4 is NOT chippy lol?
I own like milion knives and I don't need any other. However I always like to watch how David presents new knives, the way he talks, the voice... Just love it 🙂 The main trouble is that always when I finish watching the video I realize that there are still plenty of knives that I want 😂
And the two (2) Hella knives according to your website are not just OOS BUT UNAVAILABLE???
Thx for Vid. Man, I'm so ready for the trend of pop can thin knives to go away.. you can still make an edc carry without being so thin..
When you say "Knifecenter exclusive" does that mean limited run or quantity or would you state that "limited" specifically?
Moras also don't have sharpening choils
Bestech magnacut seems to have 63 hrc
Holy crap a ZT that is actually practical for EDC.
The Dawson War Dog is soo limited edition it was discontinued 7 hours after your video 😂
That's what they do now... " Let's overprice and only sell 10"
thank u
17:32 got a bit dark there. RIP Jimi Heselden.
With Benchmade getting their start with balisong knives, is that where the vernacular "Butterfly Knife" comes from? Could it perhaps, be the other way around; the logo was inspired by their startup product? 🤔
What would be the best knife for making millions on gme stock tomorrow ?
Remember when Zero Tolerance made hard-use, tough folders? I miss those days…..
they literally still make the 0308…
@@acid6urns along with the 0990, 0707, 0230, 0235 and the 0020. All of which are not hard use folders.
As soon as he said benchmade is going back to making balisong my very first thought was well I wonder how overpriced this will be
Cowabunga.!
😂 translates to "what a blessing"
Two years ago I decided to collect knives. Unfortunately, I had to stop. The prices for production, non-custom knives have sky rocketed to ridiculous levels. I’m out.
DCA, as much as I love watching you, get Seth and Thomas in front of the camera with you occasionally, their banter is really fun to watch !
Can you just put a link in the corner to a video about magnacut so we don't have to hear it anymore? Please!
I need to pick me up one of those ZTs , to bad knife center boycotts Medford knife and tool. 😂. Take my money bladehq.
So sig saur is stealing the design from the boker tdk and sdk? I'm pretty confused as to what is going on. I've had the bokers or ordered for months and now these come out? Can somebody please explain?
They all come from the same factory.
So they come from the same factory? And have the same materials? And one costs $100 more? Explain please
Except this model has been out for many years now. This is just with new materials.
And no they don't come from the same factory the bokers are German made and the houge is USA made. C'mon now people.
And the tdk and k320 are quite a bit different.
Helle Yeah.
7:44 I cannot emphasize enough that they did not pay attention to any standards currently going on in regards to flipping
Micarta on the Case looks loose and unfinished on the edges in the video.
More sleep is unlikely, GO FOR MORE CAFFEINE 😅. Speaking from experience. Great line up.
$665? Wild 😂
I been seeing a few videos where that Case Long house is having lock failures so buyer beware
The blade is tanto. Tonto was the native American in the lone ranger. And bench made is hilarious!!!! I wouldn't pay 400 and something for a butterfly knife? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You guys carry left handed knives, you should feature them at least on occasion.
Knifecenter needs Sezzle or PayPal 😭
OVER 300 BUCKS FOR A PRACTICE KNIFE?!?!? WOW! Who does Benchmade think they are?? That is absolutely ridiculous. Their knives are stupidly priced anyways but wow for a knife that isn't even a knife just because it has a butterfly logo costs over 300 bucks. That's disgusting. I can't justify spending 500 plus bucks and not get a gun for it.
Man this is the first time I've seen one of these where I'm not interested in any of the knives. That's good for my wallet!

I like a good knife, and have spent a few hundred on one... But this is getting crazy.
Ive noticed Ol Thomas behind the camera is kind of a smarty pants isnt he!? 🤨😆😉
Yes! No snag with that Helle. I'm sorry, but I hate those "sharpening choils"
My K320A with 30V cost less.
👍
Benchmade only concerned with money! Had a custom knife made and they didn’t even include a cleaning cloth, also never responded when asked about this.
