For those wondering why a relatively insignificant boss fight has such a good and dramatic theme (or why it sounds so much like a genocide theme), it’s because canonically, music comes from the monster you’re fighting, and the Guardener thinks she’s fighting, well, a tenth level threat, (the same level as Genocide Clover is assessed) causing her music to match this scenario
Well there was an unused OST for the Guardener fight that got scrapped bc they decided that she would just hide and not fight sadly (It's actually a banger)

guardener is a pretty big spike let's be honest. it's technically and conceptually good enough, though, that that's not an issue. you really do feel like you're fighting a giant robot. the music is relentless, driven forwards by strong bass and rapid percussion, overlaid with heroism from what she thinks she's fighting against.
i actually found it easy on pacifist, i beat it on the 2nd try. first take the vines off of items so u can heal, then get act, from there keep pleading (or whatever the act is) until she spares you. then you can remove the vines from the other buttons and win
I don't think it was intended, Gardener doesn't seem have any link to Gaster at all. Pretty much like every characters in UTY. And that's in my opinion a good decision, they tried to create a game that follows as closely as possible the rules of Undertale, and adding characters, event or such that we don't know enough to be accurate about them would've been a terrible idea

@Xenos0 One of Martlet's dialogue prompts in the Dunes mentions it I believe. Requires a bit of backtracking, like 2 rooms I think
I don't think this was intentionally that deep by the devs but really good interpretation lol

The song that plays when Regigigas gets Huge Power as a hidden ability.
I love how gardener's music makes it seem like she's this giant crazy boss who has no limits, absolutely love the soundtrack btw

greatest boss in the game and one of the greatest songs. most of the bosses are crazy difficulty spikes especially after snowdin, but not guardener.

0:17 - 0:20 is fire. someones gotta make a loop of the first 20 seconds of this song
It’s feels like the gardeners music is also glitching at that part
Ah yes, my favorite bossfight
"ERM, ACTUAGHLYY, ITS NOT A BOSS, ITS A MINIBOSS."
@@emhankhalid well i mean it take longer to kill then like axis so ig it counts as a actual boss????????????
IDK why but I was doing well until this fight marked a pretty big difficulty spike and it took me an hour to beat
me too
dude i hate this boss
i ragequitted and watched a no commentary run :(
this was way easier then half of the bosses it would be the easiest but we have dalv
@@nokonation40
That boss took me forever to beat because i had to de-weed all the buttons due to being on the pacifist route.
It didn’t take me an hour to beat this bossfight, what are you talking about
Try spare bro, its hard asf, if u have very small amount of heal
@@Joloo69yeah it was really difficult trying to manage being four shot during my run
I also stubbornly refused to switch to something other than the silver scarf (I eventually did have to switch to the safety goggles to get past axis)

Woman robot theme, yes
this feels like such a paper mario boss fight ost i love it
as someone who did in fact fight a Paper Mario boss with this playing, can confirm!
Am I the only one getting Kirby Super Star and Kirby 64 vibes from this?
Reminds me of something in the Mario RPGs
SAME!
I was thinking to myself that this could fit into Bowser's Inside Story or Dream Team.
Are we gonna have another long argument between people obsessed with pronouns and people who despise pronouns?
