I've always wondered how GVWR aligns with the axle ratings. The GVWR on the Xplore is 8,820 lbs. Each axle is rated at 5,000 lbs. How can one of those axles/suspension/tires carry 8,820 lbs? It must be OK if it's just for a few seconds on the trail or at the shop, but not OK for actually driving on for any length of time, even in an emergency? Ironically, the weak point in the suspension is probably the extension arm on the hydraulic lift!

I was wondering the same thing. Not that the x22 isn't still impressive, but the lift does worry me too.

Well I think each axle is 5K pounds for a total of 20K pounds - figuring you always have at least 2 tires on the ground (one on each side) it leaves you with 10K total weight capacity. We want one! :)

@@TheExcursioners So it sounds like the weight limitation is on the tires not the suspension. I don't know what each tire's load capacity rating is, but it's nowhere near 5K pounds per tire.

liked those hub assemblies. I tried looking up the hub on rockwell website and could not find it. Any chance you could post the link on where to get these hubs and name of them

someone should make an offroad trailer tire. offroad trailer tires are really designed as offroad car tires. I really believe the tread pattern is not so important for offroad trailer tires, but the strength of the sidewalls is really important. If you optimized the design for trailer tires you could make high quality offroad tires that wouldn't easily break but that would be less expensive to produce

You have to educate yourself a little bit before watching these videos, it's easy to get taken in by a lot of BS, then after you buy a unit and get home and read the warranty you have one of those "oh shit" moments, like when you find out the warranty states the bearings have to be removed inspected and re-packed every 3000 miles. And those indestructible walls they show in their other videos are explicitly excluded if they have any rippling caused by thermal expansion or contraction or moister penetration, I mean what else is going to caused a wall to ripple other than maybe a severe twist/warp in the frame from abuse...

It is pretty common wording on warranties. Most manufacturers are going to try and cover their butts from anything they can. If you read car warranty I am sure they have similar stuff to cover their butts
