I was gifted a Book of Hymns Devotional and on this date the hymn "Be Thou My Vision" is featured. This hymn is written anonymously but was from the 7th or 8th century and sung by an Irish missionary "Columba of County Donegal". His biographer says,"Certain spiritual songs, which had never been heard before, he was heard to sing." He was known as one of the poets of the Irish church. I think it's SO COOL that an Irish Christian band recorded this hymn and kept to the original melody.
The song is talking about, as Christians, how God ought to be encompassed in all that we do, think, and see in our actions. God is all that satisfies us.
