- On the occasion of Navarathri, Trayi happily presents a medley of six 'Nottuswarams' on Goddess Devi, featuring eight young talents.The nottuswara or nottu swaras ( compositions (from "note swaras") are a set of 39 compositions in Carnatic classical music by
Muthuswami Dikshitar.
Nottuawaras or nottu-swara is also known to be a great example of fusion of indian classical music and western melodies. The lyrics is in sanskrit language.

Thank you. He composed nottuswarams to help his brother learn violin. And at that point violin was a western instrument. Probably thats how he would have explored that form of music and got influenced.
