What he doesn't tell you that the rest of the food cannot contain any carbs, sugar or sweetener, cause if it does, your body will prioritize these for fuel over the protein which will negate all the positive effects you are hoping for. Why no carbs, cause the body is lazy and carbs are easily converted to glucose and with a high insulin response that is easily converted into body fat. With protean while some of it is converted to glucose but most of it will be converted into ketones which the body can also run on too and glp1 is a by product of that conversion. The last group is fat, healthy fats are only converted into ketones, no glucose and no insulin response so no body fat. Also fat is hard to convert for the body, so most of it is excreted before the full calorie load is ever exhausted unlike carbs. Which is the complete opposite of what we have always been told. About sweeteners, the insulin response is triggered when sweetness hits your tongue, calorie load don't matter here, we need to prevent any insulin response to fight inflammation or to fight body fat. So the best thing is water soluble fiber + fat and protein and no carbs. Pro tip if you cook (bio) jasmine rice with a teaspoon of (bio) coconut oil and then refrigerate it overnight, when heated again it will act like a water soluble fiber in your guts instead of a carb.
Very true. The only time soluble fibers are useful is when you buy something like 'clean keto' bread with 12g of carbs. If the ingredients are clean enough - meaning no refined starches or dextrose / dextrin - the 8g of soluble fiber can sufficiently buffer the insulin spike from carbs in the coconut flour and sugar alcohols. Also worth noting that there are varying degrees of functional fibers. Fibers in the form of liquid or syrup - e.g. Tapioca, Cassava, Chicory Root, etc - are significantly worse than minimally processed, powdered variety like psyllium husk. I see so many 'health focused' food companies overusing these liquid fibers and selling overpriced products to consumers who are looking for the better alternative but sadly don't know better and get duped.

Bobby why did you stop the cooking videos from your home? I really enjoyed those.
This is a great video, Bobby. Thank you.
So when you say coffee do you also mean decaf?
Unfortunately psyllium turns into concrete in my belly. Horrible constipation
Same
I found your protein shake on Amazon. It looks good, but it would take $90 a month for me to have one serving a day not even including the milk I would need to add. I just don’t have that kind of money!
So confused about this ozempic talk. The whole thing it does is make you feel fuller for longer? Correct? Because doesn’t Metamucil do the same thing
Do you have an Amazon store link? Love your videos 😊
Kefir is a great probiotic
l watch all your programs but cannot order any products as i live in the UK.
Thanks for food and science Bobby🎉🎉🎉🎉yummy and the real natural🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for the advice. 😊
I have stage 3 kidney failure all of the people that tell you about healthy stuff like you and other health food people talk about protein protein protein I cannot have much protein but I do need to lose weight and eat healthier do you know what I can do any help would be greatly appreciated
If tea bags are bad , what about Drip Coffee Filters ?
If you use the white ones, make sure it is bleached by oxygen based method vs chlorine. The brown filter ones are natural and haven't been bleached but it leaves a weird paper taste to coffee so you need to rinse with warm water and remove the rinse water before brewing coffee.
@@serendipity7574 I use the brown ones and have never noticed a weird taste and I’m a coffee snob. LOL
I need to tell you folks Ozempic is a treatment for Type 2 diabetes.
Has been approved for weight loss
The Bobby app doesn’t work well. I hope Bobby fixes it
Talk about low sodium foods. Thanks
Sodium is not the problem.
Its the Omega 6 oils causing the heart disease/diabetes/dementia
Every food is low-sodium if you just buy un-processed grosseries?
Get enough potassium to balance and sodium is then not a problem, have read. Hence Himalayan pink salt, sea salt
@@devyn7853 NO! NO? what? You think thosi micronutrien amounts do anything? That advice could kill somebody with a kidney disease or high bloodpressure? Where did you find this drivell?
The majority of people are NOT sodium sensitive. About a third of healthy people - and about 60% of people with high blood pressure - are salt sensitive, meaning they have a strong response to dietary sodium. Their blood pressure rises by 5 points or more if they switch from a low-salt to a high-salt diet.
I love you're videos ❤
Another great video! Thank you!
I just got some safe catch from Costco it’s a really good deal, but then realized I put like Best Foods Mayo in my tuna salad which probably neutralizes any benefits 😂 maybe I can replace Mayo w Greek yogurt & olive oil? Now I need to rework my recipe lol
Sardines are very healthy
Odd title, must be trying to get more subscribers
@@RobertBoobman ha!! never paid for a sub in my life. Nice try
@@BobbyParrish where do you see the allegation that you pay for subs in his comment
I'm trying to stay low carb but noticed the Chick Pea/lentil "pastas" are still very high in carbs. Can you expand on that please? Will the body see this as different than traditional carbs?
Subtract the fiber for net carbs 😊
He is not Keto nor low carb. The carbs act the same....
Hi Bobby. Can you suggest a good vegetarian friendly protein shakes ?
Pea? rice? Soy/any bean based? Hemp?. Any suplement store on the web offers vegetarian, or even vegan protein powders
I was a stay at Home mom with no money in my IRA or any savings of my own, which was scary at 53 years of age. Three years ago I got a part time job and save everything I make. After 3 years, I am 56 yo and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in my portfolio with CFA, Abby Joseph Cohen. Since the goal of getting a job was to invest for retirement and NOT up my lifestyle, I was able to scale this quickly to $150,000. If I can do this in a year, anyone can.
with the help of a second income to pay the bills I am assuming?
How can i reach this Abby Joseph Cohen, if you don't mind me asking? I've known her by her reputation at Goldman Sachs
I went from no money to lnvest with to busting my A** off on Uber eats for four months to raise about $20k to start trading with Abby Joseph Cohen. I am at $128k right now and LOVING that you have to bring this up here
@@AliciaSalvadoreWell her name is 'ABBY JOSEPH COHEN SERVICES'. Just research the name. You'd find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.

Please don’t film a Thrive commercial in a Sprouts. That super disrespectful and decidedly uncool.
Sprouts is a good store but soooo expensive
67 grams of carbs for red lentil pasta? Pass
2:42 - Bobby can't eat much lentil pasta, but complains when quinoa is added which reduces fiber & increases protein (so now Bobby & others can eat more of it)
Why complain? Many people can't handle too much fiber that pure lentil pasta provides
Thank you!
Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏
Informative video 👍
Thanks
These carb options are awful options for insulin resistant people. … MOST AMERICANS!
