    I started following Bobby 2 years ago, and It has changed my life. I was diagnosed with stage 4 liver disease and had to make some changes in my diet and overall health. Ive lost about 90 pounds in 2 years and have learned about better things that I should be consuming. Although my liver disease is not recoverable, I have been able to get my liver enzymes under control and back into the normal range.

    Awesome alternatives! You said the rayon in tea bags will shed plastic into your tea. Rayon is a highly processed plant-based fiber, made of wood or bamboo, and has no plastic content. Polyester/polyamide/acrylic are all chemistry lab synthetics, which shed microplastics. Rayon/viscose has been around since the 1900s and is made from plants. It takes lots of water, chemicals, and spinning to break wood down into thread, but it doesn't result in plastic. 🙂

  • @lowlandtech
    @lowlandtech หลายเดือนก่อน +88

    What he doesn't tell you that the rest of the food cannot contain any carbs, sugar or sweetener, cause if it does, your body will prioritize these for fuel over the protein which will negate all the positive effects you are hoping for. Why no carbs, cause the body is lazy and carbs are easily converted to glucose and with a high insulin response that is easily converted into body fat.
    With protean while some of it is converted to glucose but most of it will be converted into ketones which the body can also run on too and glp1 is a by product of that conversion.
    The last group is fat, healthy fats are only converted into ketones, no glucose and no insulin response so no body fat. Also fat is hard to convert for the body, so most of it is excreted before the full calorie load is ever exhausted unlike carbs. Which is the complete opposite of what we have always been told.
    About sweeteners, the insulin response is triggered when sweetness hits your tongue, calorie load don't matter here, we need to prevent any insulin response to fight inflammation or to fight body fat.
    So the best thing is water soluble fiber + fat and protein and no carbs. Pro tip if you cook (bio) jasmine rice with a teaspoon of (bio) coconut oil and then refrigerate it overnight, when heated again it will act like a water soluble fiber in your guts instead of a carb.

    • @lars2894
      @lars2894 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Very true. The only time soluble fibers are useful is when you buy something like 'clean keto' bread with 12g of carbs. If the ingredients are clean enough - meaning no refined starches or dextrose / dextrin - the 8g of soluble fiber can sufficiently buffer the insulin spike from carbs in the coconut flour and sugar alcohols.
      Also worth noting that there are varying degrees of functional fibers. Fibers in the form of liquid or syrup - e.g. Tapioca, Cassava, Chicory Root, etc - are significantly worse than minimally processed, powdered variety like psyllium husk. I see so many 'health focused' food companies overusing these liquid fibers and selling overpriced products to consumers who are looking for the better alternative but sadly don't know better and get duped.

      1) the liver will convert all fats in to ketones, but only if the body is in ketosis, 2) that is for all fats, the liver dont care about your crunchy bs about seed oils. 3) the liver can't convert fats in to carbs, or protein, it's not a forex? 4) the rice thing , whoa are you of the mark, yes reheating refidgerated rice, and even potatoes have increased resistant starch, the oil has nothing to do with it and it absolutely doesn't convert the whole grain or spud to pure resitant starch😂

    IMPORTANT QUESTIONS:
    1. How much of each food do you have to eat everyday to get the same amount of Mounjaro, 15mg, per week?
    2. Would they all "turn on" that brain receptor that makes you not think about food, or feel satiated faster? 3. Would they slow down your digestion, too?
    4. When you start on a GLP, you start off at 2.5 mg, and monthly work up as you can tolerate it. Do you do the same with these foods?

    I love to follow you and your videos, but I think you need to do a bit more research on GLP1 before you do a video like this. If someone’s GLP1 hormone truly isn’t working, no food will make it work. I’ve been eating super clean for 4 years now and my body would digest an entire meal within an hour and I’d be hungry again as if I hadn’t eaten at all. That fast digestion was spiking my sugar like crazy so Mounjaro has literally saved my life.

    You need the whole essential amino acid profile to count your protein. I’m assuming that’s why they added the quinoa. It has the full amino acid profile so I’m assuming it was to make the proteins complete. Smart imho.

      The majority of people are NOT sodium sensitive. About a third of healthy people - and about 60% of people with high blood pressure - are salt sensitive, meaning they have a strong response to dietary sodium. Their blood pressure rises by 5 points or more if they switch from a low-salt to a high-salt diet.

After 3 years, I am 56 yo and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in my portfolio with CFA, Abby Joseph Cohen.
