Looking like ben cleaning is a good day work . Good one sliding down the bean hill lol oh yeah you talking about the empty weight of the truck lmbo that look your dad gave like he was saying don't cross that line son lol that was good .how many bushels are in a truck full of beans ? Yal be safe and that mac & chez & sausage mild peppers is awesome 👍👍🇺🇸
we have been emptying our bins as well for about a week now. we had about 30 thousand bushels of soybeans stored. our soybeans were planted in late April they are starting to just turn yellow in some areas we were the first in our area of michigan to plant beans. just scouted our field next door to the house and beans are forming in the pods.
Cool upload! Powersweep not withstanding, there HAS to be a better way to empty a grain bin. But then again, if I was smart enough to figure THAT out I’d be a billionaire 😂
Thank you for showing how a grain bin works - is that the same as a silo? I see these structures all over this area of Oklahoma but never knew hos the stored grains were emptied!
Don’t know why as a kid one of my favourite jobs was cleaning up behind a sweep........, Come to think of it was probably because back than I had a “good” back lol
We leave the holes open and pull the sweep arm back and hold it for a minute and let the auger clean out and then shut it off that way it’s not pushing a big pile up into the center and putting pressure on the auger having the holes closed drill a hole at the end of the sweep arm auger shield and put a nylon piece of rope through it may be 8 feet long that you can pull it back
Were the beans sticking to the floor because of the water that leaked in or is that normal. Is there any way to use the storm damaged corn for stock feed.
it is not normal for the beans to stick to the floor, we havent quite figured out why they did this year. We could try to cut the damaged corn for silage, but we have almost three years worth of sorghum silage growing right now so we would rather cut that instead
I don't get few things here. Those beans were damaged by the rain leak. How come you were able to sell them and do they put them together in their silos with other beans that are ok? thanks for the video
This is my least favorite job on the farm, except the check. The older you get the less fun it is. We just cleaned out our biggest bin & we had a 20 year old helping & when we got done he said "Well that was easy" I'm thinking it must be nice & wishing I was that age again.
Those silos scare me. We have silos for storing our stuff. If the yield is over that we use the barns the Combines stay in over winter and there's 4 Claas Lexion not all same model but even though that's plenty extra storage!
I grew up around dump trucks and excavators instead of combines and bean fields it’s cool to see the whole process:) What does your grain truck have for an engine and transmission, the only automatics I’ve got any time with are Allison’s even with 400hp pushing they sure didn’t get up and going like your truck seemed to in the video but I’m used to hauling rock, so I’m guessing soybeans are fairly light then;)? It’s funny, hauling dirt with a 4 axle is the exact mirror of the grain hauling process, you scale in empty, scale out when your loaded and pay for the difference. Quarries are awful shady and lie through their teeth, I’ve had the scale master tell me I weighed a few hundred pounds either side of 78,000# just to bill and extra $40ish per load and the bastards did it to me 6 times in one day! Hell being a full 9000# more then the registration says is legal to haul my truck, the first time I turned on the public road my truck would have broke in two or fell through the road, surly wouldn’t have had brakes enough to stop if I needed to, a half dozen flawless trips proved that scale wrong;)
I use 1080p because thats what I use when I upload to youtube, plus 4k takes up a lot more space on the sd card and on my laptop. I use 60 frames just in case I ever want to slow down the video, because it gets choppy when you slow down a video at a frame rate of 30
@@SonneFarms darn...I am still not caught up on all your videos. Getting there. Thanks for your reply. I should send you my 22 year old to work on the farm. 😉
The price is raising higher and higher those days........but in China, we need more than 50 million tons....... the cook oil price is raising, the pork is raising..........so sad.
@@SonneFarms Being from SoDak myself, I have had plenty of Macaroni and Ketchup. I usually do Burger, Kraft Mac n Chz, and the day after add the ketchup to the leftovers..... Hahaha. When dads gets out we going to 24000lbs. He’s like 😤. Good one. Love the videos man.
Love the banter between you and your dad. As they say, "priceless."
Brings back memory's. Used to spend summers helping my Uncle hauling grain and animals around my Mothers home town of Hartford, just east of you.
Brian's Dad Face at the scale. Comedy gold. Thanks for showing this. I always wanted to see how those bins work.
I love the Bud Lite in the fridge. Nothing like a cold Bud when you have been working outside and are hot.
Bud needs to sponsor them!
Good work out, keeps ya in shape. The bin cleaning is your gym.
Great video
that was a really good video and funny near the end with your dad, great job
Congratulations for your work
The bean slide, was the best!
hahaha
I love your dad face when dad gets of its going to be 24000 pounds lol great start to my day
I love this video. Hello from Spain
great video i would love to slide down the beans like you did love your videos keep up the good work
Thanks Joseph!
Great Video. Grettings from Germany
Top video Cole and top one liner about your dads wight. He was not finding it funny lol.
try a snow shovel and push toward the open traps on the floor. Worked better than I expected. Interesting automatic semi.
That high wall of Soybeans made for a nice slide. Nice work.
Awesome vid buddy. Now you need a nice cool pool to jump in.
Love your SHOW !
If you haven't yet you may need to caulk the outside of each vent so the water and ice doesn't come in next year or so down the road.

Good humor!
Really should have an out-of-bin attendant and lifeline when inside a working bin. Safety,...
Iol! You've got a great sense of humor. 😂

Sorry, you will not be a billionaire... because we already figured it out. Just write Mepu on TH-cam and see building of a silo not requiring sweeper.
Always a smartass in the crowd...
Zzz.
Were at 25k, when dad gets out well be at 24k. Hilarious. Thats my sons dry sense of humor. He says thar stuff without cracking a smile.
Love the video I had to sweep and vacuum 6 bins it sucked ass. Keep up the good work don’t eat to much kranch save some for me
hey great video, what type of floor is that in the silo?

It was a small percentage of the beans that were damaged, just some of the beans under the vents got some water on them.
This is my least favorite job on the farm, except the check. The older you get the less fun it is. We just cleaned out our biggest bin & we had a 20 year old helping & when we got done he said "Well that was easy" I'm thinking it must be nice & wishing I was that age again.

I know wearing respirators suck, just curious why you wore them at first and then later not? Thanks for the video. Keep it up.
I couldnt find it for a while haha, I ended up wearing it during the later loads
Keep the videos coming fun times with the pops love it
Hilarious. You know when your dad is listening when you get "da look".😤 Beat down coming back at the farm. 😂😂😂
I enjoyed this. Hey, no more fat joke about your old man. one day, if you're lucky, you'll look just like him! :-)

I haven't even checked to see what beans are selling for lately
We get one month of free storage, so we haven't sold them yet, just hauled them in
dirty job past the age to do it now sure enjoy your site
Never seen red tractor before.
Not one thing fun about this, except when you get your check ! Take Care.
You can't use any of that ??
Could you do a video when you chop millet
That was a year ago, we didn't plant any millet this year
Oh...I see now...how you fixed the damaged soyabeans......thanks.....
Did you cut off the video in edit where dad cursed you out after that comment? 🤔😂😂👍
hahaha maybe
So who does most of the cookin you or your old man?
Probably me
Question...Is it only your dad and you? You dont mention siblings nor your mom. Just curious.
I have two older brothers that don't work on the farm and my mom is pretty busy, but she did have an appearance in one video during harvest
