I 100% agree. Take this with a heaping pile of salt but I have heard some rumors out there that we may be getting a line of figures based off of SM2? Again, I am not sure but I remain hopeful
Great Review as always and a must have for all Warhammer 40k Fans and especially Space Marine 2 Fans. Spend over 500 Hours already in Space Marine 2 and Joytoy nailed their looks with this Figures.
Oh yea, forgot to tell you, they do have LED light features. I’d think the top of the helmet is a separate piece, and what battery you have to use is an LR621 battery. How to light them up? You tap their helmet or something, kind of like that HIYA Toys Lawmaster Motorcycle I’ve got from Amazon
Honestly I think (hope) that the size difference is due to being based on the game’s and therefore has different proportions to normal joytoy figures to be more game accurate
This is correct, it’s a separate License. These are under the “Space Marine 2” license, whereas the regular 40K line is under the main License so they are just upscaling the minis and their proportions mostly
Yup, I think people overreact a bit on that note. They STILL have to base their main license with the miniatures. Expect no proportion change, at least not drastically. But even on the main license, the scaling is all over the place lol.
Can't wait to get this. I didn't pre-order his 2 brothers. But with the new size difference I may have to get them as well so he's not so lonely with his head the clouds.
@SpruesNStuds yeah, Leandros as a character will really boil your blood, but as an action figure all by itself, he will be awesome and also solve the problem of varus being too short to scale
You really want me to be bankrupt right haha? At this point in time, I am not sure TBH. Aside from knowing the various factions of AOS, my lore knowledge is seriously lacking. I've played Underworlds many times but that's the extend of my knowledge. However, I may be swayed if they ever did anything Night Haunt related.
Joytoy did a pretty good job with the exception of gladriel's hair. Also, anyone questioning the scale, the ultramarines in space marine 2 are primaris marines.
@minty257 your comment claims that these new figures are larger as they're Primaris which is incorrect. All Primaris up to now are shorter than this new Titus figure. Being Primaris has nothing to do with it. A lot of those previous Primaris figures aren't that old at all. They've just decided to rescale. Your original post was incorrect information.
@SpruesNStuds I did, he said the factory need more proof to facilitate a replacement order. The joint itself is fine its just isnt secured to the thigh properly
I would say it's strength, old marines were too small for 1/18, so I prefer company improving their product instead of leaving everything the same like McFarlane does with their marines
@@sand5282 You can improve on anything without increasing the size. Scale change can either kill the toy line or sparsely the character selection (Transformers, Black Series). You'll see a lot of "Optimus" instead of going deeper into another character/faction. While this is still 1:18, but creeping the size is a time bomb. Not helping is that 40k isn't as popular as Spider-Man or Optimus/Tf, you can't milk 1 character with 40k.
@@SpruesNStudsI appreciate you if you send this response to davidtoys so they can tell Joytoy about inconsistent sizes. As a loyal customer it feels discouraging cuz I have a collection of previous ultramarines.
There needs to be a petition to get a new version of Calgar
I feel like that's inevitable. Same with any of the named marines from the campaign.
@NoahR_ yeh definitely. Easy cash grab and only good for the brand. Fingers crossed it's not far away
And the Victrix Guard with Acheran as well

I’m really hoping that Joytoy at least uses this body for other chapters. I’d buy a repaint of this figure in Salamanders colors in a heartbeat.
Only time will tell. I am pretty sure that the pauldrons at least will be carried over in subsequent action figures
YESSS
David Toys now sells a 3 LED light set for the figures. Just ordered mine.
Just saw that! Well, more money to hand over to them
Awesome figure, I can't wait to have Titus in my collection. Love to Brazil my friend.
Thank you for the support from that far away. I hope you get your Titus soon!

awesome review, Im waiting for my Sergeant Gadriel to arrive, I agree that Calgar is too short and should be at least as tall as Titus

One of the best looking 40K figures produced to date!

Definitely need to do a SM2 Calgar and a Leandros
Calgar yes....not sure about Leandros lol

can you put the jump pack in another ultramarine? in version 1 2 or 3? thank you for the content!
Emperor protects, it just need some weathering in my opinion
Beautiful piece
Can't find a calgar here at the Philippines anymore
Hi, great review as always, can you compare Titus beside the new terminators pls?
Will you compare him to McFarlane version?
I just hate the massive size change. It’s very noticeable which ruins it for me. Love the new pauldrons though
Yeah it isn't size creep anymore...
Hopefully they stay with this sm2 primaris scale. I wouldnt mind getting firstborn helmets for my 3.0 primaris.
Joy toy need to pick a scale and keep it😒
he is version 5
he is a thick boy in power armor not a stick in power armor like the v3 and v4
Been waiting for this!
Are you going to be reviewing the new Age of Sigmar line?

@ personally AOS does not interest me. I really want chaos obliterators and Ork Killa Kans.
The Titus helmet opens up for an LED
Are you going to compare Titus to his “not Titus” Joytoy look a likes ?
Joytoy did a pretty good job with the exception of gladriel's hair. Also, anyone questioning the scale, the ultramarines in space marine 2 are primaris marines.
Yes they're Primaris but so are the figures in mk X power armour they're bigger than.
Calgar and everyone in the comparison are also a Primaris
They're also older releases, and there will be scale discrepancies. I just wanted to bring awareness to those who don't know.

@@bjrnhalfhand2258 Were the previous primaris figures an accurate scale when compared to regular space marines and calgar?
Too bad mine came with a loose knee. Otherwise I love this figure to death.
Can you contact your vendor to see if you can get some sort of replacement?
@SpruesNStuds I did, he said the factory need more proof to facilitate a replacement order. The joint itself is fine its just isnt secured to the thigh properly
Dude why did you put Titus' legs in such a sissy pose in the thumbnail 😂
Calgar too Tiny
To big for me …. No diddy lmao
Size creep is a weakness for Joytoy.
Yes, I really wish that they would settle on a scale and stick with it
I would say it's strength, old marines were too small for 1/18, so I prefer company improving their product instead of leaving everything the same like McFarlane does with their marines
