This radio makes no sense. $100 - $350 on ebay and Amazon but buy direct from Sony is only $70. I got given this for free today.

It's surprisingly nice vs the bigger Sonys, considering the 100mW audio rating and the smaller speaker. Seems to be more than a P26 in an upgraded case.

I think that the P306 has the same circuit of the P26/36 series with a more

Sony tuning is so enjoyable..
But the speakers are horrible..
I have several of the ($35-55) Sony am-fm portables..
I'm like you..
It's a hobby and I live comparing all my ($35-$100) radios against each other...
For me the absolute best sounding portable radio is the Panasonic that has the 4 inch speaker .. Can't remember the model number..
It's gray with carrying handle..
In fm & am it's so much better experience with a liverier sound then any of my Sony's or sangen radios I have...
The Panasonic is like $28 dollars..

For me the 306 Is a go to. Im a non DSP fan, especially for mw! Also love the way Sony differentiated between volume and tuning controls. For me radios with an off the shelf dry cell as opposed to rechargeable are the way to go. This radio is the perfect size, want fuller range sound use headphones.
