Been using the same first gen two stage hydropower with the cart as my main wfp setup for the last 4 years. Built like a tank. I upgraded the plastic fittings to the metal ones that come with the ultra. Still going strong. Highly recommend. Great vid.
How long can one expect a bag of resin to last?
Nice, your going to love that Unger filter. My advice is find a spot around your house that you can place your Di filter and when you turn the lid to remove the concrete walls prevent it from spinning. It’s more difficult to remove over time. Just like two five gallon buckets stacked together. The build up of pressure. Hold the yellow tab and shaking the unit up and down helps. That is the only issue with the system
Cool set up for under 1000 you can get a pole along with it. I like they come in package deals. #GOALS 💪
I have the 3/4 DI tank last about 6 months and the pressure it's so strong I have to turn it down!! I carry a pump in my van just in case you never know. Love my system
I have one of these and I love it! It does take a minute for the water to start coming out so it's not because it's cold there.
Once I get this this will be my first water fit system I always do traditional so I’m looking forward to stepping into this arena
Love my first generation Hydropower, the new ones are overdressed, I prefer the standard resin bags as they are easy to refill with new resin and a cable tie, great video mate
I think to buy hydropower too, but I don't know if I should go for 3 pcs ultra, or little bit cheaper old model with 2 resins bags. I am really confused 😕
@@dariusmarcinskas9087 here's a tip, using a single bag unit is ideal if your water supply is under 90ppm any higher i strongly recommended getting an RO 4040 system, the triple bag system will last longer as the first bag will clean the water quickly and the 2 remaining bags don't take a harder hit
@@AW-Services thank you! And I want to ask also about idea to add sediment filter and carbon filter with 3 bags sistem? Is it worth ir or useless? I think I saw one in yours video.
@@dariusmarcinskas9087 it's worth using Pre-filters a twin 10" filter housing with a 2 micron and carbon block filter will strip the incoming water of chlorine and general debris
Watch this for an idea

really interesting. Hello from France 👍🏻😋🇫🇷
I just bought this, and man the lid was super tight to get off
I have the older version of the single stage. It's my second one (canister split down the middle on the first one). I swapped the plastic quick connects it came with with brass ones and mounted it to a Milwaukee hand cart. Where I live there's hard water so I added a sediment filter from Lowes.
Had one of these for my company and resin needed to be changed weekly... it was getting insane! Cheap at first, but the cost of resin makes it hard to be worth it. I bought a few that are 3x the price of this, but the filters only need to be changed once a year. Steve, do you know if people are really replacing a $100 filter every week with this setup? That seems crazy!
Which one did you end up buying?
true ,that's my problem, it is so expensive to run it
J’ai l’ancien modèle unger. Sur le nouveau ils annoncent 30% d’eau pure en plus. A vérifier.
A vérifier aussi le TDS.. il écris 0 mais à voir avec un autre TDS
I found someone selling it for 200 bucks alone. Except it doesn't have that shiny chrome fitting at the bottom. He said it was used once.
I feel like if you brought one of these to a house it would be like a professional power washing company bringing one of those 100 dollar pressure washers to your house.. ive pressure washed a house with one.. definitely not the same. lol.
Ya you should send me one of those systems PLEASE I do new construction houses here in Washington and would love to run one of these starting up
Do I have to empty the water of the tank at the end of the day? Will this make the resin last longer?
How is your water tds under 50? I’m only one state away and I’ve actually cleaned windows in Colorado. The water was suuuupper hard! Is it because you’re close to the mountains?
Hey! Can you purify rain water with it?
Rain water is already pretty pure, but I do not see why not
Hi there Nice video!
Do you know how high you can reach without losing waterflow is 30 ft Too high for this set up ?
With this setup you can easily reach 40'
We have the same unit and we get bizarre readings from it sometimes. Did you get a consistent “0” TDS reading? It looked like at one point it jumped to 60 TDS.
Yes the reading was consistently 0 TDS
What type of hose do I need?
For the source hose a standard garden hose 5/8”
Can a regular 5/16 hose work just as good versus say a Unger nLite Hose that's $122 for only 82 ft? Also does the resin bag have to be the one with the red bottom and green top because I seen ones that's just the bag does that not work too?
Yes, you and I suggest it with this windowcleaner.com/xero-hose?pt=MY
If mine reads over 10 ppm does it mean ineed to replace?
windowcleaner.com/products/unger-hydropower-ultra-1-stage-resin?sca_ref=3020242.k17l3JaEgS
Yes when it’s 10 or above I suggest changing it
@@SteveOthewindowcleaner wow, yesterday iused it for 2 hours then again today for 3 hours and it was reading over 30
Are those quick connects available for the large green DI tank, the one I ordered from you?
Do you mean these windowcleaner.com/xero-outlet-quick-connect?pt=MY
OR
windowcleaner.com/xero-premium-push-fit-to-garden-hose-quick-connect-male-5-16-inch?pt=MY
I have a hunger hydro power ultra 3 stage for sell in North Carolina new
why this filters are so expensive ? mine few houses and is bad , definitely not the best system
Its most likely due to water hardness in your area is high, what state do you work in?
Which is better between the unger, xero, and tucker?
Depends on your local water quality but Xero is definitely the best because of the 2 year warranty and cost windowcleaner.com/xero-pure-revolution?pt=MY
