Kim Hye Rang: It's been a while since I've done it.
Kim: I'm choreographer Kim Hye Rang and this is 1Million Dance Studio. It's a place where dancers, young people, anyone who likes dancing can come to learn. The meaning of 1Million is, "I wish one million people would come." And, "lets make a million bucks".
IconTV: There's a shirt behind you.
Kim: This is the 1Million shirt. I wear it, as do my students. I'm always wearing it.
IconTV: I see a video back there.
Kim: This is a compilation of all the choreography that has been created by the dancers at 1Million. We also create videos. This guy here does it. He films and edits all our videos. These are the videos of the lessons given at 1Million. The most recent video we've uploaded is for the song "La La Latch". We always end the lesson with a performance by the teachers and the students come to cheer us on.
IconTV: And he's the one filming you?
Kim: Yes!
Yoon Young Wook: Part-time! Part-time!
Kim: It's not just part-time...
IconTV: You don't dance?
Yoon: I used to dance, but now I just direct.
IconTV: Why don't you dance anymore?
Yoon: That's just how it goes. Yang Hyun Suk used to sing too and now he's a president.
Kim: The most recent choreography I worked on was Sunmi's "24 Hours". When Sunmi was inactive, I gave her private lessons. She had really beautiful legs, I wanted to show that off on stage. She has very long, pretty legs, I wanted to emphasize that.
Kim: Hello. Have fun! Get excited!
Icontv: How was it getting lessons directly from Kim?
Student: At first, she was like a god to me. While taking lessons from her, I feel like I'm able to become more honest with myself.
Kim: I love seeing the kids dancing to the choreography that I've made. It always hurt to hear that dancers were starving artists. I wanted to show that if you work hard, it's definitely possible to perform in a variety of different ways and also be financially successful.
Icontv: How long do you think you can keep on dancing?
Kim: Until I lose my strength. I think I can dance until I'm fifty. Even at fifty I'll be a sexy dancer. An awesome dancer! A powerful dancer!
