Home to Mingulay. The actual island of Mingulay isn't anyone's home any more, but once it was. This and all the other "homeward" songs always do special things to me, but for some reason this one is just different. Sailing homeward to Mingulay. 🎵🎶🎵
Minch (ná na tonnta bána) is our word for the white waves on the sea. Nice they sing the Scottish words. But not sung in Scots sounds weird. Good though!
This is past life stuff for me. Something about "let her go boys", letting out all the sail and screw the consequences, because we're heading HOME.
