Manchester Airport is famous for its runway 23L spool ups! Finally after so many years of watching videos from MAN when I was younger, I was able to experience the ground shaking rumble of these take-offs for myself! Amerce yourself in this thrilling video of Manchester Airport as we watch takeoffs, landings and loud engine spool ups happen right in front of you!
Manchester Airport acts as a home base for tourist package airline Jet2, which is why you will see SOO many Jet2 flights in this video, operating between lovely Spanish and Greek islands. Also notable is Tui which operates similar tourist package flights, although with a larger network consisting of the various Caribbean destinations.
My time in Manchester was gloomy and rainy. Whilst the experience for me was somewhat hindered standing out in the rain all day, it sure did make for some impressive spray shots and the low, heavy atmosphere made the planes sound EVEN BETTER!

Been to Las Vegas 3 times on Airbus 300 but prefer the 747s In the 80s&90s flown all over North America flown in them When I was.A Nurse In New York & I lived in NYC for 9yrs Had all my holidays in California & Florida& much preferred the. 747s……..
