I liked how Choocha was actually a well-rounded individual in the first movie. He had his trademark idiotic and goofy traits, yet he also felt realistic and complex like a normal human being, and had his share of sassy and rebellious tendencies. In the sequel, his stupidity and wackiness are flanderized so much that there's very little to his personality aside from being a gigantic dimwit and goofball, and he acts more like a cartoon than a real person.
