I recently bought this machine as a follow up to my previous DeLonghi ecam 22.110 which I've had for years. I just want to mention that you don't have an issue with the machine, is just a matter of programming the amount of coffee and adjusting the grinder settings. Tweak it to your liking and you will have great coffee for years to come from this machine.
I tried every ground setting and strength setting. You cannot get a slow pour. The used puck shows the issue. A lot of the coffee grounds remain untouched by water. If you see all the DL videos they never show the slow pour that is needed at the start of the extraction.
I have this machine and after setting the grinder to a finer setting, I get a great coffee. I drink it black and with my choice of bean I cant fault it.
I’m sorry to say, but your settings are just wrong regarding the beans you use. Your powder is too coarsely ground, that why it runs through nothing is in there. Set it finer and play around with temperature
No. I had 2 machines over a 3 week period. First was suggested faulty by DL support. The 2nd one was no better. The coffee was inconsistent but generally poor. I tried different coffees and all the settings. The basic flaw seemed to be the immersion chamber. Result was a semi dry puck which meant some was under extracted but also over extracted in the same cup. I could not dial in a slow drip other than rarely and only for the first few seconds. I'd like to try other DL machines, but not sure it's worth the risk.
@@gallivantingsprt I live in Sweden and use Melita brand but I will try Lavazza also. Also i think it depends what type of coffee you make and the mixture of the beans. I bought beans middle roasted for now.
Sorry mate, but you should at least read the manual of that machine if you are to "review" it. Also DeLonghi itself has a few videos on that machine to help you set it up and to dial it in correctly.
I have not got this machine but am thinking about it. I have watched plenty of vids on this machine and your coffee looks so much weaker thas other vids on this machine i have seen..

You need to dial the machine in! Adjust the grind to finer and then strength so that the time to pour is 20-25 secs

It’s great to see some negative comments as I’m struggling to decide on a machine for the up to £600 mark. Can anyone recommend anything?

Maybe the type of coffee beans make difference also.
which producer would you recommend?
I use different blends by Julius Meinl, and the taste is amazing.

I got this machine last Friday. I’m loving the taste, but I can’t get the milk to be ‘like paint’ for latte art.
