@RocktheStageNYC Thanks for your kind words. We work hard on doing singing technique as clear and practical useful as possible, so glad to hear you find it useful. Best wishes :) Henrik
Thanks Henrik. Thats good to know because so few teachers know how to teach distortion. I have the first version and the newer version of the CVT book and all the audio files that go with it. Great stuff.
@RocktheStageNYC Yes, (apart from the fact that CVT don't use the term rasp) all Authorized CVT Teachers are trained in teaching and demonstrating more or less all sounds the human voice can make, including distortion, growl, grunt, rattle, creaks, creaking, air added to the sound, vibrato etc... You can find a list of Authorized CVT Teachers at the Complete Vocal Institute website under Education and Courses / Find a Teacher Best wishes :) Henrik
I lead a choir of young people and use CVT-techniques, too! Can I get in contact with one of these women about choir leading? I do have access to CVI-forums, so if there is a place to discuss this, I would love it!
@Liquadia Do you by "sooo your techniques?" mean that I think you should use CVT. That is not my message. I think that people should use exactly the techniques they want. Being a co-developer of CVT through 18 years I am of course biased and very confident in the method. But I am equally certain that singers have to find find their own way, and that is my message. If you want to know more about CVT / CVI visit the website. There is a link in my profile. Happy singing :) H
@Liquadia HI. Sorry to hear you are having trouble singing as you want. You're story is similar to many I have heard before, and I think you have come to the right conclusion: Drop faith in teachers - singing technique is not a religion. Instead trust yourself, and if something doesn't work for you, move on. Remember the technique has to work right away, otherwise it is being done wrongly. Be positive, the techniques are out there, and I have yet to meet a singer who can't learn it :) Henrik
