Great Central Railway - Winter Steam Gala - 29/01/17

- Once again, our first big railway event of the year was the Great Central's winter steam gala. I hadn't planned on going, originally. But, after much indecisiveness, we ended up going, on the Sunday. Featuring the usual array of passenger, freight and TPO workings, the gala consisted mainly of the home fleet, with a guest locomotive, in the form of Q Class no.30541, courtesy of the Bluebell Railway.

Thank ye, squire. I must admit, I wasn't too fussed about the Q, when she was first announced as a guest. Now that I've actually seen her in action, I think she's rather lovely :)

Great video mate, Two question I like to ask you, have you or have you not been to the Bluebell Railway before and which weekend are you going to visit at the South Devon Railway for their winter gala next mouth?

Steam the heart throb of history... nothing can beat it...I hate electric and diesels the heart is just not there. The bashing heart throb of a steam loco says it is a living thing.
