This looks like st Francis parish area 25, Lilongwe, Malawi..this is the church I gre up in and am proud to say I was a liturgical dancer in my younger years from 1997 to early 2000
❤ so beautiful, home sweet home! But being far from home we are still enjoying our liturgy and traditional, thanks to you all, who posts this kind of dances ❤🎉
Well said! I’m publishing a weekly TH-cam video on episodes from the life of Don Bosco, entitled ST JOHN BOSCO by JOE ZAMMIT. In this series I’m narrating events and miracles from the splendid life of Don Bosco. St John Bosco used to perform a miracle almost every day, through the intercession of Mary Help of Christians. From the lives of saints we can learn how to love God more and draw closer to him. Thank you.,
How many times have i watched this clp this year. For the first time to see a catholic themed procession song.Young boys leading with sticks-men are the leaders of home and church.Women are coordinators of both.
Hello, the song is about giving, how they love to give the gifts and tithe to God.By (ife/us) (timakonda / we love) (kupeleka / giving). Thank you.(zikomo)
This is so beautiful. i saw a snipet of this on whatsapp status and commenced searching "imbeni pamoja' 🙈😄 to no avail, weeks later here i am. A catholic from Kenya. keep sharing interesting content
This is so lovely. Am originally from Zimbabwe. The time, I stayed in Malawi for 15 years, I enjoyed the Catholic liturgy in Malawi (Blantyre, Limbe Cathedral and St. Montfort CI).The people are very prayerful. Music so touching. Keep up the good work my brethren. God bless you always 🙏
It is the Organist /pianist for me...he/she did Justice to the Song the choir Did their job...the dancers knew their job and We're there to prove they are good at it
Congrats to our Malawian Catholic brothers and sisters, much love from your Kenyan counterparts. Can't get enough of the song plus the boys' dance moves. They are simply on the next level. I'm eagerly waiting for the full clearer (probably studio recorded) version of the same.
I have listened to this song a few times now and can never get bored of it. The majestic dance of these young souls takes me back to Mother Africa. Although I am from South Sudan now in a foreign land, I feel a connection with the Malawian people. What amazes me the most is the dance tricks. I tried a few times but failed terribly. So, I have given up on this one. Another fascinating fact is how the dance style is different based on gender. As an African, I would like to think the reason this is so, is that for the young girls to dance as the boys would be considered culturally inappropriate. I hope this is the case, if so, then I am very pleased to know, that Africa is still on the right track. Corrections are welcomed. As a person who lives in the west, I have noticed how important it is to keep our traditions, particularly those mores that set us apart from many cultures. While modern civilization is good, African cultures should be maintained. One of my dreams is to visit Malawi and go to this Church and hopefully meet Fr. Joshua and the choir. Thank you kindly for sharing this rare and special song and dance. By the way, I have learned the song and can happily sing along. God bless
Uplifting music. Thanks for sharing. This reminds me of my visit to Malawi in 2015 and celebrated Easter Sunday Mass at St Patricks Parish Lilongwe. Love from Zimbabwe
