Hi Shamim, this is the way i was taught, however i have seen it done the way you suggest. I think the difference is the way that the sections are labled, in my example i start with 1 or an odd number however I have seen examples where they start with 0, so an even number, this would change the formula.
The length divided by “3”, where does the “3” come from, I am working from the US in feet then convert to yards then to cubic yards. My length equals 50 feet or 50/3?
i respect any one use the manual calc before using the programs .
Thanks Mate, I'm glad you like it.
Only video who helped me! Thx a lot!!!
Thanks Mate, I'm glad that you found it useful.
From where the widht .5 comes from
Hi, the 5m is the width of the section or the distance your readings were apart.
how to calculate the irregular cylinder volume? is the same way that u have done? thank you
Hi Mate, i would work out the area of the section of the cylinder and them multiply it by the average depth. Hope this helps.
Buildsum thank you so much
At 5:21 the multiplication needs to be 44.744 m2 x 5.0 m = 223.72 m3 !
Apologies. Calculation in the video is correct.

How come? Can you explain?
The witch is 5mx 1m=5 then X 44.744
Please sir how can I identify of it is odd or even number
Hi Mate, it is not the number it is the position of the reading so the first one would be odd second even and so on.
hi there! um shouldn't it be 2(sum of evens) and 4(sum of odds)??

Hi Gary, the 3 is given as part of the Simpsons Rule formula. It is not something that you have to work out.
Thank you very much
Hi Mate, Thanks for your comment.
