The best songs are the story telling kind we all can relate too, our roads we've traveled, common ground, keep expressing and inspiring. We ain't gotta go at it alone. Let's ride out!!
This band is so good. My 14 year old daughter started to learn how to play the bass and she chose she's kerosene for her 1st song. Thanks for keeping Ska music alive.
Amazing song and clip. It gave me the same vibe and feelings that "Gimme the Sweet and Lowdown" clip gave me about 10 years ago. Long live punk rock! ✊️❤
This album was Aimees life, emotions, heart and soul put into lyrics. I could feel how personal this was. So deep and raw and emotional not just this song but the entire album. It must have been very hard to share this with the world. Ive been a day one fan of The Interrupters and I see them any opportunity I get. Please come back to Fresno.
Where was this in my middle school days? Because this song is so relatable to me. I was always different from the other kids growing up, and never really had a song with lyrics that resonated with that the way this song does. Even if I acted proud of my differences (when right now I genuinely am), I still wanted someone to fit in with in the way I was. It's especially hard since I grew up with OCD and social anxiety in a very conservative small town who casts out a lot of people who are different from them in terms of interests, beliefs, behaviors, etc. Thank you so much for this song- these lyrics will always be special to me
I just stumbled across Alien about a month ago and now there's a video that fits the feeling of the song so well, including the hopeful defiance of the final chorus -- I love it!
Such a BEAUTIFUL SONG Interrupters, glad to see you guys reach out of your wheelhouse. This song will resonate with so MANY of us. Unfortunately most of us feel we don't fit in, at least at some point in our lives. I wish people were ... more accepting than we are. Peace & Love to all.
Hey, interrupters. Big up from Norway. Where we moved 2 years ago to create a better life. We are outkasts and some places accept them better then others. After many struggles i'm finding my home for me and my kids cause they are going to make this world a better place. Love your music , so inspiring , keep believing in what you do. It will help many to push on through. Love, always, Michel
Thank you Rodrigo! It's pleasant that Social D fans recognizing our work. Bothe of the videos have a lot of visualization of feelings. That's why it feels familiar.
This song hit me so hard when I first heard it, I had it on repeat for months. Growing up in the 90s in a hick town in AZ was no fun. I dressed different. Trying to hide who I was and coming out to my parents and friends was so difficult. Then I moved to Las Vegas at 18yrs old and I finally could fully be myself. Thank you for this song❤
I saw you guys a few weeks ago at my hometown Reading, Pa! You guys were the reason I went to the show! Meant the world to me to see you guys play!! Your energy was so pure and genuine!! You guys were sublime!!! I love this song!! Thank you!!!
this video is absolutely stunning! the art is amazing and the storyline, well, we all feel it deeply. this combination is perfect and got me all emotional. damn. such amazing artists all of you
Thank you! We glad it worked well. We love the song very much and it speaks to us a lot ! We grateful to Aimee for her courage to speak out what she went through.
@@Madtwins Congratulations! i'll be paying attention to your work and art! and yes, Aimee has the courage to speak out and magically she speaks for and to a lot of us!
@@Madtwins The graveyard scene is so powerful...to feeling so much useless to society, that you choose that way. One of the saddest scenes I have ever seen anywhere. But did she die and become a ghost eventually, like the others?
Love the Interrupters and "In the Wild" is an amazing album! We are very glad we got the opportunity to visualise this powerful song and the message of Aimee and the band. It is awesome that people already see themselves in the skeleton character.
@@niellalien Thank you so much! For years we have plans for cartoon series based on our own ideas. International and for Ukraine too. We really hope we'll be well and alive to work on them and release at lest several of them. It is nice to hear that people interested to see it.
First off shout out to Marky Ramone for turning me on to this incredible band when they first came out. Second, but probably first anyway, thanks to the Interrupters for kicking major ass in Reading P.A. on May 8th. Finally getting to see you live was AWESOME!!!!!!
Beautiful songs and images. I think the mirror in the last scene shows that the main character is a human being like everyone else, not someone to be excluded.
This video reminds of that one by Social Distortion, can't remember the name of the song but, it was about a kid who grew up with a broken home and only his musical heroes were able to save him in the end. Powerful stuff!
Yes we made a video for Social Distortion "Gimme the Sweet and Lowdown" and similarity with the "Alien" video of Interrupters is the focus on visualisation of emotions of main character.
I like many parts in it, but the scene, when Skelly climbs into the grave to rest there, that has me in tears every single time...and I'm a grown man at almost 41. Being a sort of social outcast with my choice of music and clothing style, also, some bodily flaws, I feel for anyone who can relate.
Sooooooooo dopeeeeeeee, thank you!!! You all are amazing, can't wait to see you all in phoenix/tempe again!!!!! Dancing with Amiee on stage at the tempe market place years ago was a highlight of my life. Even when security grabbed my neck to get me off stage. Sooooo much fun!!!!
If i need i can pass as "one of them" and they like me, but it gets exhausting really fast. Hope everyone find support and family in friends where they can be themselves. Love for everyone who needs it.
Oh, so we're going to start today off with tears. Such a beautiful song. ❤❤
A ballad from The Interrupters, yes please!!!

That's Awesome! You know, a wise man once said.
When I've got the Music, I've gotta place to go. T.A.❤
This literally matches the lyrics.
Also, The most magical thing is that this song applies to everyone
Aimee's voice is absolutely incredible...
An absolutely gut wrenching song. So emotionally deep.
The Interrupters saved my life, thank you guys ❤

I didn't think I would get more emotional with the video but I cried. Stunning. ❤❤❤
The catharsis in this song is wild.
This song hits home and gives me goosebumps each time I hear it. A beautifully powerful song, I love it ❤️

What an incredible video for such a beautiful song 🖤
Thank you for this wonderful song, I felt like this many times when I was a kid. Thanks!!!!
I connect deeply with this song and this video. love it. love this band.
so many times in my life I felt like an alien... the circle trying to fit in a square
the bright side is that I realize, that like a circle, I can run arround, and don't need to fit at anywhere and stay put
Cheers from Brazil 🇧🇷 ❤
From the first note, on the first playthrough; this song is now part of you.
Goddamn it! Tears every time. Amy's voice just grabs your soul and makes you FEEL... everything. What a gift!

Such an amazing song and it paires so well with the video! Excited to see the Interrupters in June for the first time!
Oh gods, I'm crying 🥺
Once upon a time, Rocknroll accepted me like that.
Thank you, guys!
This is how I felt until I found my local punk scene!
This song does a great job expressing what it's like growing up as an Autistic person here in the U.S.
In the UK too. We are not alone my friend despite rarely feeling a part of anything.
Meh, autism is largely fake
My son is Austic & he is my world. 🌎 I will guide him to accept who is and be proud of everything & everyone. ❤️
Always welcome in my squad bro's
Absolutely! There with you!
This song is truly an expression of my heart
I did not ask for these feels.
Lots of SD's Gimme the Sweet and Lowdown vibes.
Way less cheesy ending. 10/10

❤❤❤ song and artwork are on point. Love the skelly reflection
Makes me wonder if it's about the feeling, when you feel yourself defenseless and naked in front of a crowd you don't fit in...
Love the Interrupters and "In the Wild" is an amazing album! We are very glad we got the opportunity to visualise this powerful song and the message of Aimee and the band. It is awesome that people already see themselves in the skeleton character.

Yes, exactly. Skeleton and his friends were humans all the time, it's just not visible for everybody else who think's they are weirdos.
@@Madtwins Punk/rock/metal people make the best friends in the world.
Because they are not superficial and truly understand raw emotions.
