I think many Christians go through life not looking for those “God moments” and miss them, but we should be asking, “What does God want me to learn from, think differently about, or do as a result of the experiences that we go through in life?” We should always be asking God to “show up” and be present in the events of our lives and help us to learn, grow, and serve Him better as a result. God has a way of working in a lot ways that we would not define as "spiritual." We (me) need to do a better job paying attention and not put limits on God.

You're hearing spiritual elements because many of their early songs were written while attending a church together. More recently they seem to have walked away from their faith.
I will say that there were a lot more obvious spiritual/religious undertones in the older stuff, but I still hear a lot of spiritual elements from the newest stuff as well. There's a lot of loss in Good Day, but "Imma sing my soul" makes me hear "How Great Thou Art". Or even Formidable makes me think of my relationship with Christ.
I don’t think they have walked away from their faith they are just more low key about it like in clear he talks about singing of a greater love and is it better to preach to people or mask their words.
