My Mom grew up in rural Arkansas in the 50's, and she always used to tell us how relaxing it was to fall asleep with rain falling on their tin roof.. She passed away on this month. It's a dream of mine to live in such a simple rustic home like this one. I don't want luxury in my life...I want a simple and truly joyful way of life. I see myself in a house like this enjoying a good night while reading a book, sitting in my bed which is situated next to the window. The only light on is my night lamp. I hear the rain falling on the ceiling, creating a nice melody that soothes the soul. Outside...the world is quiet and peaceful. All this together, creates an ethereal feeling inside of you. I lived right beside a river, on a dirt road, as a kid and my dad was a very successful contractor.
One summer it didn't rain for awhile, so he got his pump (the river wasn't far, 100 feet and it had a natural rock beach like bank with no slope) and he sprayed the water on our tin roof. Good stuff 😴

Im just having some of mental problems for about 2 years. I found this channel and came here everynight to listen to this as a therapy to cure my soul. I miss the day that i was going on the trip, just riding along from mountain to mountain in the heavy rain while wearing raincoat, fullface helmet and relaxing with my headphone and some fav songs. I read through a great many of the comments. All were comforting and fantastic. I have, have always had, horrible insomnia. To the point of weeping and praying after about the 7th day without any sleep. I found this video last night. I SLEPT! First night in 5 days. I read some of the comments first, and they helped me to relax before I closed my eyes for sleep. So I asked myself, what would I tell someone in my position? Honestly, everything has been said already here. So I will just leave one small something.

Why do I love cold rainy days or rainy nights? To me, there’s nothing more enjoyable than being home when is cold and raining, watching and listening to the rain fall through my window, while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate or having a bowl of warm chicken noodle soup with sliced toasted French baguette. The smell of the rain is enchanting to me.

Back when I lived in a tiled house, I’d sometimes wake up at night to the soothing sound of rain on the roof
I grew up in Tonga 🇹🇴 tropical island 🏝 in the pacific and most houses have tin roof and these where the sounds of my childhood brings back memories and it rocks me to sleep 💤 every time 🌧🌧 and I’m just a rain person love ur work thanks😊

My son and I fall asleep to this every night.. We turn on our surround speaker..he's out like a light in less than five mins..even after a full active day.
We've tried others..we both giggle as we lay and complain about the other ones we've tried. We play Rock Paper Scissors sometimes to see who's going to get up and switch it back to this one,😆

Remember 3 years ago when my pain was so bad mai ly neuropathy in my feet I had severe pain and panic attacks at nite. I would listen to this and it would bring me peace. Life is mu h better in 2024 thankfully. You to will get through your hard times. Hang in there.

I sleep to this every night. I grew up in a log cabin that my great grandad made by hand in 1932. It sounds just like rain back home.

Never have I seen a more perfect video. I sleep like a baby with this thing on. You could literally jump on me and I wouldn’t wake up. It sounds crazy but I feel like when I listen to it i wake up with more fresh ideas for work than would if I didn’t listen to it.

This has become my favorite TH-cam video and favorite thing to listen to period to sleep to. It helps me relax if I can't go to sleep right away and then I sleep peacefully with this in the background still going. I have probelms sleeping normally so I really appreciate this video.

Hey guys, I just wanted to stop by to send some positive energy to all of you! These past years been very tough to me. Ive been challenged mentally, emotionally and certainly spiritually. I feel like i’m finally finding myself and who I was once before when I had peace. I am thankful to come across a channel like this one that shows me that we are really all one in the same. We all have these daily struggles that we deal with that can keep us up late at night but just know that you are not alone. Knowing that I can come here and openly express myself and see others doing the same gives me hope that the world will indeed be a better place but it starts with us. We have to set an example for others and I know we can do it. Peace and Love to ALL OF YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE.
I use this as a shield from all the unwanted noises..Headphones on and this soothing music playing takes me to a different world far away from all the disturbances ..to my own world of tranquility and relaxing sleep .

I used to sleep in the shearing sheds with the dogs when I was little especially in the winter because I didn’t want them to be alone or cold (they had the option to come inside the house but they loved being outside…they always had the option though. Hearing the rain hit the tin roof of the shed here in Australia is just something magical

I've listened to dozens of these sleep noises and I find that this one is the best!
I love this one at night . I put my phone beside my dresser as close to my ears as possible at full volume and I sleep like a baby. Then, when I get up, I keep it on while getting prepared for work and it keeps me calm and focused until I get to work even when driving..

When I was a child, I lived in poverty the countryside in a cottage with tin roof. I am now living in the city. Thank you for this video. It made me remember my old peaceful days with parents in hometown and think lots of idyllic memories.
My family lived in a trailer.We were poor as well. Those were simpler days. How I enjoyed the little things. Great reflecting.
This reminds me of my country uganda in Africa, i used to relax whenever it rained, but currently am in UAE where no rain falls through out the year, thanks for the video coz it keeps me relaxed
