  • In this video, I break down what I believe to be the best viewing order for The Mandoverse shows (The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka) to not only create a consistent plotline, but also to fix some of the issues with the three shows and also to enhance the overall story.

      Please consider having this edited into a fanedit film, or several. Reach out to Hal9000. It would work well as two long movies that would setup the “third” official theatrical release in 26

      I think people forget that multiple episodes could be 1 day, or 1 episode could be days long(hyperspace travel parts)
      I like Mando 1-16, Boba 1-4, Insert Skeleton Crew, Boba 5-6, Ahsoka 1-3, Boba 7, Ahsoka 4-5, Mando 17-19, Ahsoka 6, Mando 20-24, Ahsoka 7-8

      @@johnthemachineI think it would be far too long to have as a fan edit. Each episode of the Mandalorian is anywhere from 30-50 minutes long, and there are 39 episodes in total. I had considered making a fan edit out of the last 4 episodes (Chapter 23 Mando, Part 7 Ahsoka, Chapter 24 Mando, and Part 8 Ahsoka) because those episodes would definitely work well as a movie. Perhaps Chapter 16 of Mando, Part 1 of Ahsoka, and Chapter 1 of boba would work well too. Maybe I’ll give it a go 🤷‍♂️

      @@jasenbertrandthat’s an interesting order, the only issue is that the trailer for Skeleton Crew shows that Vane - the pirate from Season 3 of The Mandalorian - is going to have some kind of role which means the show is likely set after S3 because otherwise he would still be working for the pirate captain.
      Also, the reason I put Ahsoka Part 1 directly following Chapter 16 was one because if you wait until after Chapter 6 of Boba - or even after Season 3 like the official order - then what was Ahsoka doing for all that time? After she finds out what she wants from Morgan Elsbeth, there’s no reason she wouldn’t start her mission as soon as possible - and that also helps keep her story flowing by having it continue only a few episodes after she appears in Mando. Also, I feel like watching boba directly after Mando is a bit jarring, because you see the post credit scene where he takes over Jabba’s palace twice within two episodes. And the entire series was almost created just to bring Mando and grogu back together, which means you’d be going from them separating in chapter 16 to them coming back together almost instantly.
      Anyway, I like your order too it’s interesting. Maybe I’ll check it out one day 👍

    This is actually very accurate. Thank you for this. I love the Mandoverse, especially The Mandalorian. That show is definitely better than the entire sequel trilogy. Thank you so much and may the force be with you.

      @@bmarshy It's a similar situation with The Clone Wars; If you watch the episodes in order of release you'll have clones in Phase I and Phase II armor in episodes right after one another and story lines will be picked up and then dropped for almost an entire season before being picked up again. If you watch The Clone Wars in the correct order, the long story lines are much better, and the end hits harder than you can ever imagine. 😭

    The timeline of the Mandoverse is completely broken. Literally the only way to rationalize it is to imagine that Morgan Elsbeth was getting transferred for 2 years. The line that completely broke the story was Captain Teva barging into the court marshal mentioning "the conflict on Mandalore" which happened 2 years after season 2

    • @bmarshy
      @bmarshy  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      I completely agree. That’s why I started looking for a way to fix it when I was showing my partner The Mandoverse for the first time. A friend of mine came up with the idea to put the episodes in a different order when we were watching the first couple of episodes of Ahsoka together, so after a few weeks I came up with this episode order.
      If you feel like the Mandoverse is broken, try watching the shows again in this order and see how the entire story changes and feels much more thought-out.
      Try it out and let me know what you think!

      @@bmarshyEven with your fixes, it’s still technically broken. And you can rearrange all the broken pieces you want, and I think you’ve done it well, but they’re still broken pieces at the end of the day, just in a different arrangement.

    Listen I have a suggestion for another video: Talking about Star Wars characters whose stories need a continuation and conclusion. For example, Rotta the Hutt, Jabba’s son aka Stinky as Ahsoka called him. Anyway we need this Hutt to make a return in Star Wars. Perhaps as the adoptive son of Boba Fett. Which is very far fetched but it’s fun to think about. So please think about it.

    I call for a moratorium on the "It's like poetry..." clip. A more clever way to present it would be to start showing it, and then cut it off at "It's--", showing that it's such an overused trope at this point that we don't even need to see the rest of it to get the joke.

    The original Star Wars fans left before any of Rey’s movies… the fans leaving now are the animation fans

    • @bmarshy
      @bmarshy  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@wizlb I’m not sure that’s entirely accurate. I know a lot of “original” fans who are still fans to this day, even after all the mess Disney has made. I think people were just happy to see a Star Wars project that felt like George Lucas’ creation again when the Mandalorian came out in 2019. It’s not perfect, and I know a lot of fans have dropped out, but a lot of people are still rooting for Star Wars to be good again and at the moment the only light guiding the way seems to be projects like The Mandoverse and Andor/Rogue One (and the animation as you mentioned).
