its horribly sad because bae kyung really did love her, he was just scared. scared that she'd end up the same way his mom did. he was scared to love her, not because he disliked the fact that she was sick, but because he just didn't want to lose her like he lost his mom and i find that devastating.

I am confused as to why people are shipping da noh with baekyung. The drama makes it clear that she doesn’t have feelings for him. I understand that he is mean to her on the stage because that’s his character but in later episodes, we can see that he is rude to her on the shadows too. He is so problematic and he is always picking a fight. Just because his dad is abusive, that still doesn’t justify why he is so aggressive towards everyone. Baekyung has done nothing but hurt her on stage and in the shadows. Da noh deserves better. #teamharu
It was just his stage character.. he thought that what he did was him until he realised the truth and the reason he was harsh towards danoh was because his mother died of a disease as well and looking at her condition it always reminded him of his mother leaving him .. so he didn't wanted to get attached emotionally and his father treated him like a toy that would be beneficial for his business. More over, his dad didn't even cared about his wife's death anniversary and baekyung's step mother was just too focused on getting his own son in good light of their father... The moment he realised everything was staged and what he did was not him ..and he thought he could save her. He did his best... The reason everyone loves baekyung is because he was never a bad guy just in a wrong mind set and the fact In the end he let go of eundan-oh because she liked haru and he actually helped haru to get back with her.

It’s like right person but wrong time. I sympathise with baek but I will not justify any of his actions cuz no. It was toxic and problematic. When he did show his true self and character development I got a soft spot for him but he would’ve needed to do a lot more for danoh to love him again cuz Haru loved her right from beginning. Haru deserves her. Maybe in another world if baek had his character development earlier, I would choose him cuz he really did learn to love and lose her.
i love baek kyung. He was the most hurt character in the drama. It sucks that everyone only sees dan oh's pain. Baek kyung and his mother's past, his abusive father, feeling left out in his new family & his entire journey of realising he's only a character in some comic book was so sad to watch. He loved dan oh since they were kids but because he was in a comic book his life was controlled by the writer who wanted his character to be cold and mean. His real self had to hide his feelings for dan oh because he was scared to lose her the way he lost his real mother. Because baek kyung's father wanted to use her for business and money. Or else you can see how genuinely happy he was when they both had gone on that date. Also, imagine the only person in your life who genuinely loves you and cares about, has been there for you throughout, being stolen by a guy who suddenly came into her life out of nowhere (Haru) You can't blame baek kyung. He deserves so much more than this.

it's quite satisfying that their ship has a lot more views than the leads. I have nothing against Haru but Baek Kyung stole my heart.
Love gueong with his flaws and everything one of the best written 2nd leads ever. He deserved to be happy bt also she deserved her happiness and to be truly loved.
And not that it couldn't be him bt he did to much damage to get a happy ending with her after his pathetic behavior. He will always be wrong no excuses for his behavior.
Just finished watching the show abit disappointed coz I felt it was dragged to 16 episodes and after the initial episodes most of the supporting actors really shined and had amazing development except for haru and dan oh. Also as soon as gueong became aware of his ego it was just a geoung show. Just brilliant acting by the actor playing him. Wonderful script beautiful acting to top it off. My episode ended truly in episode 15 with the happy moments of gueong and dan oh.
