Sorry, did you end up replacing the small battery or the big battery. Sounds like the small battery but you didn’t really specify that. I’ve been able to jumpstart it from the large battery, but now it’s not jumping anymore. So I’m afraid to buy the big battery if it’s just a small battery that I need. Can you please confirm that you just replaced the small battery. Thanks. Great video.
I pulled over today to help a couple with their 2020 jeep compass, it was an electrical system Ive never experienced before. It was my first time encountering a car with two batteries and I only knew about the 2nd battery because I TH-camd the car. It was a surprise, I wasn’t sure If you could jump start both batteries at the same time but we tried it. It failed. The issue was the main battery needed replacement, it was 4 years old. The 2nd battery was 4 years old too but surprisingly the car started with just replacing the main battery. Was it safe to jump both car batteries at the same time???
So to clarify. You can jumo or charge from a 12V chargers to the small batter? Which posts do I use? DO I charge the large or small battery and which did you end up replacing? THANKS!!
Just had this happen on my girlfriends 2021 compass today. This video helped a lot. I was confused as hell. Lol. I had jumped off the bigger battery but it wouldn’t start and I was like.. Wtf is going on. What is this ESC crap. Typed it in, found this video… Jumped off the 2nd battery… took it to AutoZone and had them both replaced.
