  • McDonald's has been a staple in the fast-food industry for decades, known for its quick and convenient service. However, the fast-food giant has taken a bold step forward with its newest location in Texas, which is entirely automated and run by robots instead of workers. Questions have been raised about the future of the industry and the potential consequences of such a drastic move toward automation. In this video, we'll explore the pros and cons of McDonald's new fully automated location and discuss whether this trend is something we should embrace or be wary of.

    I'm all for it. They will still need humans to clean the tables, empty the garbage, scrub the toilets, etc., but all food will handled by robots. I love it!

    • @emilypatterson4479
      @emilypatterson4479 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Can make an auto potty brush, can make an arm to swipe and wipe the tables. Down to one employee per store.
      So, uh, hundreds of thousands of people out of a job, increasing poverty and homelessness. This is awesome.
      Wait, with fewer people having an income, who will be able to buy their food? Sales go down so prices go up to maintain profits. Since McFood is a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Index, they must maintain and increase their profit to give the illusion that the economy is good. Is only good for the billionaires that profit from putting humans out of work.
      What a great thing, eh?

    Pretty soon, green backs (paper currency) and coins will longer be used. People will only be able to pay with cards.
    And if all McDonald's go robotic, the only workers that will keep their jobs will be the cleaning crew.

    What does one expect when employers are having a hard time hiring and keeping employees? Throw in many employees acting like they are doing world a favor by showing up to work. Then you have states like Cal. pricing those employed out of work by forcing business to pay higher and higher wages that raises the cost of food. Something has to give.... No place will be 100% run by robots. There will always be those who oversee and repair those robots. A number of the jobs loss to robots will just be shifted into new fields.

    I grew up on McDonald's. I would never frequent a totally automated restaurant. They will come and go, just like the self check out line. Screw large corporations with junk food. 😒

    The selling point for 100% automated robotics fast food restaurants is the significant reduced risks of deliberate criminal human tampering of food, or accidental tampering of food that result in food poisoning, loss of foetus for pregnant women and deaths.

    It will be boarded up in no time at all. Just like with electrical vehicles the American public is not even going to deal with it, business better learn not to try to control us. I'll turn around and walk out. I already have not entered a McDonald's in 2 years now, I also will not go through Checkers drive-thru with automated systems. If these corporations intend on staying in business, I suggest that they stop their foolishness now! In the past two years I have found a lot of different alternatives to fast food restaurants.

  • @Cerulean0987
    @Cerulean0987 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    Betchya with the money saved on labor does not result in lower prices.

    • @txryder79
      @txryder79 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Well, of course not. The money saved on labor will be spent on equipment costs and then repair & maintenance. Once annual labor costs reach a certain point that making the decision to automate becomes a LATERAL move, the decision will be made to move forward, like we are seeing here. Also effecting the decision will be no more call outs, disgruntled employees, inefficient employees, rude or indifferent employees and let's not forget medical claims.
      So, costs will be similar and so prices will not go down. Now, If the whole "living wage" argument for no skill jobs was never implemented. We'd all be enjoying our $6 meals and there wouldn't be millions of no skill jobs about to be axed in the next 5 or 10 years.

    It’s a scam! In 2012 McDonalds in Australia paid their workers 16 American dollars an hour. The combos were about even with American prices. Today in Indonesia with a fully staffed store they sell a Big Mac combo for $4.50 American dollars. The workers are paid a living wage. $20 dollars an hour is very low for California. They charge $16.00 for Big Mac combo. What a scam! Indonesia and Australia use 100% Australian beef which is much better than American beef. What’s the beef McDonalds? We’re onto your scam!
