Hey Kitt, don’t feel guilty for blasting a new devices let downs or bad decision making. These companies have the option to make good devices. If they choose not to? It’s not up to us to defend them. Keep up the great reviews!!

Im grateful for in-depth vids like yours as they helped me bite the bullet and by a Boox tab 10 C
I used the remarkable 2 before but it was just not cutting it - I really needed colour. I'm a researcher who reads colourful pdfs (graphs and 2d histograms everywhere) and i couldn't find another purpose for rm2 with its closed ecosystem. The problem started when I saw rm paper pro and got the itch to try it again cuz it had colour. Your vids helped me see the flickering and same system that I would be too distracted by for quick paper reviews etc.
Boox has been a blessing so far, great for reading and notes. Only issue I can point out is the dialling in for colour saturation etc for some papers. when you have both black boxes with histograms and white graphs with lines, there's an actual balancing act to figure out, but it's a minor point for me atm.
also the rm paper pro is way more expensive in china lol so buying the boox was a sweeter deal for me. Thank you for all the info!

I see a trend the eink makers try to get rid of one of many digitizers. ReMarkable got rid off the Wacom one and PenStar got rid of the capacitive digitizer. I am glad they are trying different solutions to make the ink closer to the surface.

I agree. If they can have 4 or 5 colors without flashing for note taking and highlighting, it is enough for 90% of my usage. For reading flashing is not as a big deal, because even BW flashes to avoid ghosting. I hope a forewarn update can support it.

Great review again from Betts-Masters. The new Remarkable is very appealing indeed. My only gripe is that there is no OTG function through the USB-C port. What a shame.

I've also had some temperamental sync problems with the RPP that I have not seen with my rM1. But there is a way to force / redo the sync. In Settings, go to Storage and hit the "Check Sync" button.

How does it feel when you write in various color, I mean when you do use red or blue or green ink to actually wrtie and not just for highlighting? Does it get all flashy - disco style??

Anyone else a bit disappointed with battery performance? I just spent a week at a short course using the rMPP for notes in class and reading docs in the evening. I had the front light off. I burned through 60% of the battery in 3 days.

Yes, I agree, it's not the two weeks (or even full week really,) we've come to expect from remarkable!

Any idea how many continuous hours of usage that would be over those 3 days? That would really help with my decision-making. Thank you!

I'm mostly disappointed with the drab gray screen paired with a tepid and misaligned front light. not comfortable to use without direct overhead lighting in many common situations of good but not great ambient light. BOOX equips its kaleida 3 devices with outstanding front lights that more than compensate for the darker gray in common modest lighting, and without the severe battery drain we're seeing here. not a fan of the writing feel either, iPad Pro textured glass-esque.

Regarding the high-pitched whine, I notice this particularly with PDFs that have color in them. I can get the whine to sustain if I zoom and pan continually in one of these color PDFs. It's quite annoying (and I have hearing loss!)

Firstly, watch 10 videos about comparison of 10 different tablets, preferably 10 videos made by 10 different youtubers. Then, watch Voya's in-depth reviews about three tablets of your choice and infally end up with multiple tablets because every time the companies release new devices you just can't resist.
