    🎯 Key points for quick navigation:
    00:00:23 *🔄 Fame farming methods like PvE builds are popular for leveling weapons, but this approach might be inefficient if not using the gear in the future.*
    00:01:23 *💰 Using PvE builds to level weapons can require significant silver costs, up to 30 million, which may not be worthwhile if the build isn't used further.*
    00:02:18 *🏹 Experimentation with different weapons, such as dagger pairs, shows varied Fame per hour rates compared to top options like Nature and Spiked Gauntlets.*
    00:03:13 *📈 Fame from PvE weapons contributes to both weapon and armor pieces, with receiving credit points affected by gear level and respec settings.*
    00:03:45 *⚔️ Using zones like the Mists effectively requires killing all evolved mobs and considering dungeons like the Abbey for efficient Fame farming.*
    00:04:42 *🧵 Using different armor types affects damage output, and equivalent gear adjustments may require additional weapon IP for consistent farming speed.*
    05:17 *🚫 Focus on specific builds instead of unnecessary PvE setups if not planning their future use; this enhances Fame farming efficiency and saves silver.*

    I wanted to add a little to the fame farming:
    When the 5 days of premium started, I immediately popped up a cake and went into T7-T8 black zones with the Ava road at Brecilien. There was a lot of downtime (because the mists have about 30%-ish reduced fame compared to open world mobs) but the silver drops didn't change (compared also at a open world T6 normal mob in BZ)
    So, during this period, every normal kill ranged about 11k-13k in fame and well, about 1.8k and 2.3k in silver raw drops. I managed to spec up nature in practically 4 hours from 10 to 100, and used the fame credits to only level up offhands (since their fame/credits ratio is goddamn high)
    Another thing that I noticed is that you recieve half of fame credits for a piece of equipment if it isn't also specced up (you have mastery maxed up, but not the specialization maxed), and that is a small, but still noticeable fame loss if you're using a PVE set while auto-respec is off.
    So yeah, mists and abbey are the most accesible way, but I haven't tried farming the ava roads (and I don't think I'll be around to test it, the downtime for the pathfinder mobs is crazy af)

  • @SwoleBenji
    @SwoleBenji ปีที่แล้ว +7

    My argument is that silver becomes mostly useless late game. You say that regular fame farming levels the entire set, but for me I spend 2 hours in a blue zone static to level a weapon from 1 to 100 spec for the cost of 17 million silver, 1 hour to level an armor from 1 to 100 for 8.5, 30 minutes and 4.25 million for the helmet, same for the boots, and only 300k silver and a few pulls for the offhand. In total I spend about 4 hours and 34 million silver to have 100 spec in a full set of gear.
    The fastest I see people fame farm in black zone, roads, etc with fame farm builds is 9-12 hours to reach 100 mastery, not even spec. In that time frame most of them reach around level 72-75 spec at the most. 1-75 is around 15 million fame. 75 to 100 is 18.5 million. So people can grind with a crappy weapon for 18-24 hours to do what I can in 4. Of course for NEW players who don't have 34 million silver to blow at best can farm 1m per hour so it'd take them 38 hours, but anyone who has been playing for at least 3 months should have the passive incomes and silver hoard to to make this happen.
    If a maxed chef makes 2.5 to 5m silver in 15 minutes of work per day that means it takes 7-14 days of 15 minutes per day to reach that silver, or 1 hour 40 minutes to 3 hours 20 minutes, add the 4 hours of static dungeon grinding, at most 7 hours 20 minutes to get the same results as someone doing the manual grind for 18-24. One could argue the silver gained from manually leveling would help but new players would just die hundreds of times and have to constantly bank the second they get a good chest.
    While it'd make sense if you only ever wanted to play one single build the entire lifespan of the game, I feel like everyone who wants to play this long term should first level a PvE set because new weapon lines are always coming out and being able to spend less time fame farming means more time having fun and doing other things. While people are gonna sit down for MONTHS to level the new shapeshifter weapons I spent 14 hours farming the combat fame credits so I can immediately 1 to 100 them the first day.
    One could argue that dying over and over in the mists is cheaper than blowing it on auto respec, satchel, etc but I'd rather give my silver to the SYSTEM rather than have it taken by another player. If you ask most people if they'd rather lose $100 by having it burned or having someone rob them, almost everyone will say they'd rather have it burned. I also feel like weapons like hammer, or staff of balance, should be leveled by the guild these players serve, and not something they should have the burden of leveling themselves.
    Finally, I feel like cursed staffs in general are one of the best "good at everything" weapon lines so no one really loses by leveling them up. Kind of like a "fame farming dividend" of sorts. Weapons like hammer or staff of balance don't really have multi-purpose uses so only players doing group content would really find a use for it.

    • @John_Doe13
      @John_Doe13 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      First, your numbers (1-100 for 17 million silver) somehow imply you were not using a satchel. And you either were using it, therefore your method flies up to exorbitant cost or you are not able to "level a weapon in 4 hours in a safezone static". One or another please, stop spreading misinformation.
      If you are using a satchel on a set that's already fully 100/100 you might as well use tomes and not even need those "2 hours to level up a weapon, 1 to level up armor, 1 to level up boots+helm", that would be cheaper and that would save you the cost of leveling a pve set.
      If you are not using a satchel, you're going up to the same amount of time spent as a black zone farmer (which is around 8h for a full set, in your case you're leveling it separately) except you're losing silver to auto-respec while a BZ farmer is at worst losing a couple sets to gankers while getting all the BZ rewards.

      @@John_Doe13 Don't bother with this guy he's not all there upstairs in the popcorn room. Even with an 8.4 Satchel 115% + Ava 15% + Conq 10% + Premium 50% + Faction 10% you'd have to be farming T4 static only when it's fully enchanted to get even remotely close to this guy's made up numbers. Even then you wouldn't be able to do it with 0 specs because you'd legit die 1 v 1 to the enchanted mobs, lol.
      This dude also 1000% does not have access to the Ava 15% or Conq 10% buffs because he's a fucking Yellow Zone rat, lmfao. You have to actually play in the Black Zone to get those buffs. The only way that this rat could get either of those buffs is if he pays a massive fortune for it because he's deathly afraid of stepping into anything that's not a Blue or Yellow Zone. That, and because everyone in the game knows he's a damned rat and will drop him the instant that they can for the lulz. Which means that he won't ever be able to complete an Ava for the 15%, and can't even pay a guild to let him siphon points to reach the 10% buff.

    • @ButterscotchTheButty
      @ButterscotchTheButty  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You compare your effecient PvE set to newbie, who has nothing on them. I don't think, a new player can just go grab 8.4 PvE set and start grinding statics with it. He requires max spec on the set (to have credits), the set it self, and silver which is around 100m + tons of time invested before hand. I did show, that i achieved 13m fame(6.5credits) on a 1200IP set per hour which is pretty similar result to blue statics, but still painful to the wallet. As for experienced users, I believe usually such player already got plenty of credit points/tomes of insight stored they can spend to insta max gear they want.
      Guild leveling does do the job better, no argue there. But this is just an example to demonstrate, what one can achieve on horrible PvE options.
      If person enjoyes cursed, no problem, they can use it right away, which is good, since they will have both good PvE and PvP option!

    Meaby for someone who is new to the game, it is better to max out your set that you want to get first. But in the long run pve set will be better. Once u maxed the pve build (which your doing once) u'll be clearing mobs faster = more $$ and maxed pve set with other maxed items from the same category will give u even more fame credits. long run - pve set / but for begginer meaby his first or second set should be gained normally, not with respec

    • @ButterscotchTheButty
      @ButterscotchTheButty  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      What i said for pve set, maxing it for fame alone is a bad idea, pve set is like gathering, you level it to get an edge at making money while pveing and credits come next, unless you go for respec, but then you need to now money for that.
      The main thing is - we should enjoy the game, not turn it into second job, so if one wants to pvp, pve or anything, just get set for that, level it a little and do your stuff! :)

    Maxing the Spec of the weapon is like 23m fame more or less. So if you can farm 2.3million fame per hour, you'd be max spec in 10 hours. 2.3m is only possible in not so peak hours though like early in the morning or after maintenance. Also, fame books from chests helps speed up the process. And if u have some (alot) of extra silver, auto-respec works like a charm. I got 700/700 on swords, leather armor, cloth helm and boots in just 2 weeks xD

    You can resell your PVE investment later and some build allow you to do alone some contents that give you a lot of fames. and for shadowcaller since you take it as an example, it can also be used for HCE later, so it's not a waste for everyone =)

      That's why i mentioned "they're not great for pve alone" if you're not looking for silver. PvE builds are like gathering profession. You get silver primarily and fame secondary. It also works if you need one or few set pieces.

    Sure fame farming in mists aint bad but could you please further elaborate how to max out a weapon in a single day that way? Because I am none stop doing mists right now and am surely no where close maxing out a weapon in a single day unless by a day you mean 24h of play time? From my experience a lot of potential efficiency gets lost because of bad mist layouts and other players keeping you away from camps and chests.

    • @ButterscotchTheButty
      @ButterscotchTheButty  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lots of efficiency comes from constant mob grinding, it doesn't have to be camp specifically as for people. I didn't have much problems. Usually, in an hour, it is that one 8.3 double bladed tryhard, but if you got a mobility swap (i use dbs stunrun technique), this guy aint got nothing to u. (In avg you get ~1m per 18 min. of abbey. But it takes like 10 minutes to find an abbey, which is not that good at the end. (~2.4-2.7 if you grind everything vs ~2m if you look for abbey alone)

    • @ButterscotchTheButty

      Ava roads can give even more fame, the problem is that you're limited to a veery small pool of weapon choices, so if you got extra silver for autorespec, you can hit maxed weapons in record speed.

  • @nathanav1634
    @nathanav1634 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Great to see this as its precisely my approach to fame farming, although I never did the math to know its better than a dedicated pve setup, I just couldn't be bothered to spec up a weapon for pve which I ultimately wouldn't use for pvp. By only equipping the gear I want to actually level, I've almost maxed out all armour other than plate chests (which I've not touched, seems like so few viable pvp options I'm interested in that use it). Only slight change I make is I tend to fame farm in either t6 red zones (better than t7 in my exp) with faction flag (to complete faction chests), black zone t6 or t8 zones (to complete conq chests/season progression) or mists (farming the new ish upgraded mobs). Only ever go to mists for pvp, but fame numbers look very similar to t6/t8 BZ.

      Hey, im kinda new at this game and i mostly like pvp. I do like pve like dungeons but still, the content i know i will have the most fun with are the mists. For a new player would you recomend to just go to T6 RZ faction flagged and kill mobs till lvl 120? I like dual swords (and daggers) and fortunately those are not bad at open world pve, but Im struggling on how to start preparing for pvp, ofc i know i need fame but is it worth to fame farm without premium? Or should i focus on getting premium first and then start grinding fame? Or should i just make a new char and use the 3day premium to fame farm as much as i can? Also is pvp your silver source? Or do you have a safer way to afford going pvp?
      Srry to bother you with all these questions but i felt pretty related with your comment, like you are in a spot where i would like to be, just enjoying pvp on the mists 😅

    • @nathanav1634
      @nathanav1634 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sagansagan5395 hey, I've never fame farmed without premium, you can do it, but will obviously be slower. If you head to T6 RZ in a 4.1 set, you'll spend around 100k tops on your set, but you'll make around 300k/hour in silver drops from the mobs by just chain killing then. Also ensures you've always got enough for a fresh set if you get ganked (which is rare, I can farm for hours without issue, just ensure you're within your mount circle). Ensure the faction zone you're in gives you a fame buff + faction flag ofc. Fame farming isn't really about earning silver though, for that I personally head into mists/deep BZ and gather (level up your gathering in blue/yellow then head to mists as soon as you hit T6 tools imo)

  • @HuwPewPew
    @HuwPewPew ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I feel like you're missing some things here.
    1. PVE farming should also net you a return on silver so it would offset what you spend on the conversion with Auto respec.
    2. you're testing with 1200 IP which is either high spec or high tier weapon with no spec. Not really a fair comparison since it's a safe bet people will be starting from zero and not running around with tier 8 weapons.
    3. I highly doubt you could count healers or tank specs here since their ability to kill efficiently is terrible and generally require a group to fame farm if you're not using fame credits.

    • @ButterscotchTheButty
      @ButterscotchTheButty  ปีที่แล้ว

      1. Most of the time, it's only a tiny bit in comparison of what respec consumes. On other hand doing PvE on weapon you want to play also grants you money and you can even PvP with it!
      2. True, 1200 IP can be an issue, but every weapon scales the same, so if we go lower tiers, we'd get exactly the same % less dmg (so should be around the same % less fame) (but i'm not sure on that topic)
      3. I did the tank specs, and yes, if one wants to use heavy plate in pve and achieve good farming rate, they'd need to have 500 more ip on a weapon! in comparison to mage robe (that's insane, it is like 6.0 -> 6.4 MP )
