- The game feature cel-shaded 3D graphics and 2d gameplay on a 3D field-similar to many 2.5D today fighting games.
The game has 12 characters all inspired by Capcom and SNK fighting games, after you pick your character, you choose between 3 supers like in 3rd Strike and then you select if you play story mode or exhibition mode.
The gameplay is similiar to others 2.5D fighting games with some unique features,like a bar in top middle of the screen that mesure how much you pressed your opponent, if filled in the enemy side, you enter in a custom combo mode identical to Street Fighter EX2 Execel and viceversa, if you launch the opponent in this mode he will be slowing fall down and if you keep hitting him it never falls,basically you get rewarded for playing aggressive.
If you press back in a just frame time you get a Just Defend like reward called "impact Defense",you get 1 frame avantage over your opponent.
Another unique gameplay feature in this game is called "Air Drive" wich is similiar to Dust in Guilty Gear, you launch the opponent in the air by pressing HP and HK buttons and following up by titling the stick up and then you access to a free air combo momentum, it costs 1 meter bar.
You can EX your special moves by executing them with both punch buttons or kick buttons,it costs 1 meter bar.
Supers costs 3 meter bars and can be cancelled any time during a combo.
You fight a strong boss named Zine before fighting the classic "rival story fight" wich is kinda wierd.

KenJu is an unfinished and unreleased fighting game that was developed by Dream Factory (of Tobal and Ergheiz fame)for Sammy’s Atomiswave arcade board.
Now all that's left is Chase 1929 and that football game.

there is just way to much to unpack with all this, I dont know whats more shocking that this exists or that somebody managed to get Dream Factory to nail one of its games on a 2D plane?!
it looks pretty good, i really wonder why it wasn't released...
KenJu had the bad luck of being in development at a time when arcades and arcade fighting games were seen as being in decline,around 2004/2005.

@@InsertCoinArcade In fact, some of the characters Story Modes would have Zine as either the final boss or the penultimate boss. Nanoha and Roger (which you are playing as) have Zine as an penultimate boss, while Jongha have Zine as the final boss. Did you see what I did there?

finally got this running on the nintendo switch its a blast playing it on the go and toilet lol will upload the video later
I managed to get this game running on my Pandora’s Box. Sadly, the controls didn’t work, so I couldn’t play it, though at least the game ran well

Yes it's unfinished,the gameplay itself feels incomplete and unpolished when you play the game,i guess they need it at least one more year of development.

The arcade versions of those games are not playable.
Nanoha (no not Nanoha Takamachi) is a ripoff of Yuffie from Final Fantasy VII. Well not really.
