By the way, Calvus' giant charge attack is stationary once fired. So if you attack him and immediately dodge, you will only take one tick of damage, and Calvus will be wide open. On a different note, I always feel awful for Revon. The poor lad has been lied to by his own brother and is in so much pain that his great older brother just got murdered for what he sees as no reason.
Revon being essentially a joke boss/way to make you feel guilty is something i never expected and it really helps you feel more engaged with what you are doing with the story.
and the sky beam from calvus can be dodge just by floating in the air even if the beam hit you you wont be damaged just hold and charge ur skill in the air
I wouldn’t be surprised if Revon ended up becoming an antagonist later. It could be some sort of story where he trains for years to kill his brother’s killer until he realizes the truth behind the order of aesir and decides to work with us.
@@mustarl I got through the whole story with basic fighting style. Only boss I ever struggled with was Cernyx who wasn't even part of the main story. Once you figure the bosses out you can pretty much exploit their openings with any build.
The game is inspired by one piece, the original "arcane adventures" had it in the description that it was inspired by one piece and a few other animes (I can't remember if any actual names were mentioned but it's pretty obvious)
Although I don't get why they are removed, it was cool being able to change ammo. And me personally, I liked the fish bait even though I just bought a ton and forgot about it

this vid teaches me how to fight calvus correctly than an actual tutorial on how to fight calvus update: I got him to 1k hp. Before, I always end up with 3k or still 4k hp another update: i got him to 300 hp but died due to lack of skill Last update: i finally soloed him and i did it again and beaten him with no help.

to be fair the entire game can be beaten with guns only, like just ONLY guns this also means skill less/abilities, (although it is harder) but overall your dmg with guns is pretty good, not to mention how much dmg guns can do with the right armor set, in which case guns will shred just about anything and anyone regardless. If you really wish to do this, get a flintlock, upgrade to a musket, get a good shield and you will have basicly beaten the game, with good movement, and some skill, you can make everything look like a joke.

I’ve been humiliated as I usually beat king calvus 1/2 tries and I’m almost a maxed conjured and you just destroyed him with a musket, and I even used a shield, so gg you’ve bested me in the only thing I’m good at
I know a lot of people struggle with him for first time but they still didn't have to nerf. If new players are struggling they should go lvl up and come back. He used to be my favorite boss but that title goes to Carina now even though she's a runner she's a trakstar.
I'm level 125 crystal conjurer that killed around 9,976 people and I can confirm prince revon is by far the hardest boss even with freedom of weapons, and use of magic, I actually had to respawn around 234 times to finally beat him and then again i nèeded 2 of my friends to do so.
So I just managed to beat all of arcane odyssey without magic. That includes no high jumping (unless climbing due to no normal jump during that), no absorbing energy At All, and obviously, the magic I picked wont ever be used. Main way I did it was do normal stuff till around lvl 60, (Frostmill cave, then just naval combat before I get to ravenna normally), went beserker and used shot, A Lot, made that cheese Merlot/Kai, getting me to lvl 100, then just did the story from there, eventually got thermo fist, mastered that, (someone also gave me the axe skill for fighting styles but its not needed), and really just had fun with how uselessly useful of a glass cannon I was, since I forgot about armor as a whole and only put skills in strength
Gun is op at pve, yet other weapons are very good pvp and quite good pve simultaneusly like stormcaller, shcimitar of storms or the latter on uncommon category and above since it will have more guarantee that it will actually hit the opponent/player and bosses rather than giving openings for a punish. but Gun is a weapon that is high risk/high reward.
When I made a conjurer run in the game I went against iris and lord elius using dual flintlocks only, all I did was spamming the rapid fire ability (which is basically a machine gun) and I cheesed the fuck out of them both bya filling them with gunpowder
Bro I'm the best when it comes to the beginning stages listen get to level 2 near dawn Island. There are 2 other islands near dawn Island clear as many exploration tasks as you can then head to redwake when fighting do not run , stop sprinting and spam your knife to kill the jaw pirates . Next clear the exploration tasks in redwake then loot all the chests while doing the quests.
I did that when i fought elius cause i can shoot faster than cast a spell cause it would make me vulnerable it was right after the release tho. You can use it to every single boss in the game it will make your life easier using that in early game.

as someone who played through the game using only fists, its almost painful to see all the bosses i struggled on get killed on your first try
same but i worked with a friend which made it much easier
only viable way to beat the story solo with fists is cannon fist ngl
even then it gets abit expensive spending money on cannon balls

Kai and Cernyx aren’t classified as bosses on the stat settings, though I think Cernyx is.
Cernyx counts but Kai doesnt since he is mini boss technically even tho deals much more damage than actual bosses :D

ye if you dont know how to hit her the fight just drags on for half an hour, her healing is the most annoying in the game
I just used my magic and fists, only boss I had trouble with is Lord Elius and King Calvus. All the others I beat first try.

Having full power build, you learn to dodge and then you're still 75%+ HP.
It applies with every boss, guaranteed.

Tbf king calvus is veryyyy easy as long as you learn his patterns and don't get move stacked on phase 2
