La lenteur y est pour quelque chose : vous êtes là, présents les uns aux autres, le temps est suspendu. Il fallait oser. Du grand art. Bravo !
It is the best version I think. The slowness yes. I think also the understanding of when to build up all the voices, and when to quiet ones and allow the prominence to a single one, with vibrato at the perfect moments. Because the music is not just harmonies, it also has melodies hidden within it to be brought out. The way they sing it is less mechanical and more alive.
Love him and Palestrina! I had their works sung at my Nuptial Mass 11 years ago and people didn’t realize there was a choir in the loft and when they started singing the guests turned around and gasped lol. We had so many compliments at the reception. It was the most special part of our wedding Mass (besides being married of course)!
Fantastic! Love the fact that there is some actual Bass and Baritone in the score. Too much of Sacred Music leaves that out, unless you listen to Eastern Christians of course.

Josquin des Prez is by far my favorite composer, all of his works that I have listened to have been absolutely amazing.
