You are doing an amazing job, I am benin, but I can only speak small common sentences to my mother, you are helping a lot for me to be more fluent in it! Keep up the good work. I know it may seem like there's not much traffic about it, but it will come in time by God's grace. The population is increasing not decreasing.
Yes, vbe Odọ a ye rẹ? = How is it over there? But they are essentially asking "How was it over there?" given that you apparently went somewhere and they are enquiring about the place you went.
However, there is another phrase that sound a bit similar and it is: "Vbe Odẹ a ye rẹ?. Meanwhile, Odẹ means road/way/path. The question "vbe Odẹ a ye rẹ? is used to ask about the current status of something that you and someone else have previously discussed or agreed on. The only time that the question would have a literal meaning is for example if there was a public strike or there were demonstration going and someone you know is coming back home, then you use that question to ask them "how was it outside?" or even "How was your journey?". I hope this helps 💜💛
Hi Uyi, happy to know that you want to improve your Ẹdo. Unfortunately, I'm currently not taking in new students. My schedule for group classes and 1-to-1 classes is currently full. However, I promise I have something else coming up soon. If you want you can message me @info@edolanguageinstitute.com so that I keep you posted once classes are available again.
Please don't stop making these videos. You are doing God's work. Generations unborn will keep thanking you
Thank you for your feedback and your kind words. I'm glad you're here💜💛
I'm not Edo, I'm Igbo but I enjoyed your teaching
