I loved this video. You took a practical approach which more than 90% of the players will be taking i.e. having 3 marches of a troop type. You also covered a budget version along with equipment. Please cover infantry next.
I hope that you continue this series (maybe twice annually).
A video suggestion - Commander to focus for new players. Let me explain this suggestion: There are constant new players being introduced in this game. So what should be the commander focus path that they should be taking while starting their account based on what troop type that want to main. Many of the commanders suggested (usually in the best marches to have) are end game commanders. New players won't have them available for a very long time. You can break it up like commanders to focus until kvk1, then kvk2 and kvk3 and then SOC. This can include budget and a spender version.
I have started playing with a new account and have already 130 days on my account. I am main infantry. So here's what I have been using until kvk1: Infantry March (Bjorn/Sun Tzu), Cav (Mina5521/ CC 5121) & Archer (Thud 5121, YSG 5555). For fights I only used my archer march and if I was less on troops then infantry march. I am a low/mid spender (around $60 monthly spending) and as I have experience I am gradually building and focusing on the right utility commander which will be useful in late game too. I believe such a series will be really helpful to completely new players. And you can similarly cover equipment in it too.

Precisely that was I did on my 3-1-1 infa setup. But most of the time I only used 2-1-1 setup especially when in a losing situation to save rss and speedups. Moreover the 5th march usually have the weakest gear on it. 3--1-1 is ok when at least we are dominating field, have at least 2 legend gear set and 3 epic gear set. Nice man keep it up 👍

very very helpful video!! You did not mention anything about jewelry equipment on marches ? I think going for horn/ring should be prioritized before most legendary armor equipment ?
It is a tricky decision tbh.. Depends on your account's level, what is expected from you etc but maybe 2 set pieces then jewelry then rest of the legendary gear might be good :)

I would go with boudica/cyrus or boudica/nebu for little extra march speed. All the other marches are super fast even the infantry. I hate when my archers are slow. I'm using the same 3-1-1 setup but with some changes. I'm currently using boud/ysg, by the time my archer enters the fight my other marches are already in yellow.
I can relate that.. It is a problem to have a slow march but I what I would do is to just wait until all my marches are together... Not the best solution but it is what it is :/

I think having two troops type is better because of city theme buff and debuff so choosing the type troop that counter the counter of your main troop type🎉
I think also that is better to keep the blue helmet and doing the legendary set gloves,it’s cheaper and you go with that for a long time because are all def stats also you can focus the other marches and when they are all set up kinda like this(all def stats) you should get accessories then maxing that equipment
Small buffs from city themes just don't out way, nevsky, buda, scipio imo
I'm pretty new to this game started playing 1 week a go and got addicted. I have both saladin and Chandragupta which one should I really invest on to pair with William? Which one is more budget friendly on 5551?

My recommendation is to pair at least one tanky commander with an Aoe Damage dealers for the cav:
Xy Nevsky (strong and tanky), Saladin William (nobody hit him), Bertrand Joan (tanky, lot of heals). Guan Scipio, Boudica Nebu/YSG.
As you get low on speed up and rss later on, you drop the Archer, then the Guan, and you have 3 very fast, tanky, high damage marche that can easily get in and out. Bertrand is already tanky at 5511 thanks to the defense tree.
If you really don't want to invest in 5511 Bertrand, then go for Nevsky Joan, XY William, and Saladin Aethefled.

@@SpartanGamingMobile people will go for Guan, Nebu, Xy, boudica, nevsky first before they intentionally target Saladin or Bertrand is what i have seen. So he survive long on the field. Also, the defense talent heal 300 everytime a skill is activated so in the first skill cycle it is 900 heal from the talent tree alone. He is not the best nor the priority but for a cav player want to save hospital bills, i went for him instead of Chandra. Apparently he is also better than Atila if you need a tanky primary commander to hide a skill damage secondary. Obviously xy, nevsky, joan, william are higher priority.
I have tried this setup. Bertrand doesn't do justice for Joan's skill. It is better to use the one in the video.
@@SpartanGamingMobile update: i have been in imperium kvk against imperium korean kd that (suspiciously) also use bot and auto targeting. Bertrand 5511 is equivalent to my max Saladin. in term of tankiness, target priority. Between these two config
Nev Joan, Xy William, Saladin Ae (all mix)
vs.
Xy Nevksy, Saladin William, Bert (5511) Joan (max).
The second config perform better overall for me in term of hospital and kill efficiency. Yes if you look individually, Joan is better paired with Nevsky but when it goes to 3 marches, you have to consider survivability and the strength of other marches in case one get focused down. I would leave Bertrand at 5511 and use him for this kvk and the next and wait for the next iteration of Cav commanders. In the meantime work to get 3 legendary cav set before making legendary accessories (i have one pair already).
Really you don't get a lot of choices when it comes to pure cavalry marches. AT and Mina CC is out of the question nowadays due to them being single target and have few utility.
@@royyoryoroyor2982 Problem is while Newsy Joan alone is better than Bert Joan, when you want to use 3 skill damage march, I find Bertrand Joan is optimal so that you free up Xy Nevsky and Saladin William. Really, for the 3rd marches it came down to Chandra or Bert as primary, but Chandra skills while look great on paper, i never see a good report of him on the field. Maybe he's not just tanky enough despite that 20% health, because of the limitation of Skill tree. And I'm playing against stronger kingdom where I got focus down instantly.
Also, Chandra need to be maxed while Bert can be used at 5511 since the 3rd skill is useless on the field, 4th level 5 skill doesn't add much and the only thing you're missing is the expertise which could be nice since you got hit by AoE all the time (also why it make AT so weak on the field nowadays).
Xy Nevsky may not beat Nev Joan in a duel, but in practice it's still very strong because you will fire off the skill before opponents and reduce their troop counts before you have to withdraw (or get swarmed by them). The auto targeting is bad. As soon as you hit someone marches, they target you back so you don't have a lot of time to hit.
Joan double skill means bert Talent TRee get to active 3 times in a cycle. That's the synergy. You also need horn on all your marches.

XY/Honda is quite a glass canon for me. Mehmed/XY makes sense tho. But is Saladin still good to use in openfield atm?
For F2P yeah. He is great with low investment and he is also tanky so most people will ignore it which equals less hospital for you
for your budget version of XY, that should be 5.5.1.5 I believe
Right now im using 2inf 2cav 1arch should i go with 3cav meaning id have to dismantle my other inf set(2 legendary pieces everything else purple) btw im a medium to high spender so i wouldnt mind losing some materials
As a medium/high spender you should aim for 6 marches. keep it the way u have for now. And either go for accessories or 6th gear.
Hey Subi! Yeah losing some mats shouldn't be a problem for you but as Dean suggested you can also aim for 6 marches as a mid to high spenders in SoC. Try that and if it feels too much just dismantle
If I’m a cavalry main, should my cavalry marches consist of only cavalry units or should I still mix in infantry and archer units?
Your march should only consist 1 unit type always. Unless you are using leadership commanders like Trajan

Definitely Sala primary. He'll get less focused than Nev. Work on finishing Nev though. He's worth it.

Yes sir! If you get Artemisia on top of those 3 you can do Boudica art / nebu YSG which is even better

The bad news with saladin is it deals no damage in season of conquest. 1.4k damage is too small without skill tree.

You should put Joan as primary rather than Mina as he gets targeted a lot.

xy is good at 5511, trust me, I have been using it like that for a few kvks, 90% as good as expertise, trades are amazing when I pair 5511 xy with nevsky 5555

When you’re first timer in SoC get the prime coms as complimentary pair to your existing expertised coms. Get Scipio for your Alex. Get Boudica for your YSG

William’s rage generation is worse than Joan’s because his (weirdly-shaped) AOE has to hit TWO enemies for it to work. Joan’s goes off every time.

Basically Joan isnt a bad investment but imo certainly not needed if you already have max xy,nev, william, Chandra

Dunno who started with this 5551 saladin is 95% completed myth because its so bs🤣expertising saladin gives you 300 extra damage, which is a 22% bonus skill damage compared to his active skill. Literally better than guan expertise

@@Boost400 you gotta be trolling or something. Duels are a great way to test theories out. Experting Saladin isn’t necessary but it also isn’t completely terrible. The cost of sculptures to expert Saladin far exceeds the benefits you get from doing so.
