I feel validaded knowing someone else is rocking the yellow crocs. From the Log Cabin?

Haha! Great for rock-hopping and a little extra boat-vis!
Got these ones from Devonport, but daresay they're the same product!

@CameronSmithDiving ah right. At the log cabin you can have any colour crocs you want, as long as they're yellow. Figured you must've made the same impulse purchase while looking from something totally unrelated.

Haha! Yellow is a good colour. Good to know I can always get replacements in Bicheno if I ever leave this pair behind!

Nice vid. About 12 years ago I visited Tassie and dived Binalong and the Bay of Fires. While looking for crays I swear blind I saw a good kilo + rock blackfish (black drummer). I'm from NSW and have shot many hundreds of them over the years so was dead certain. I was told that they don't go that far south. Are they ever seen in Tas?

I haven't shot one mate, but have been with a mate that shot one at Bicheno. Both black and silver drummer are on the East Coast of Tassie (at least over the last few years).
I reckon you probably saw one!

@mistergormsby they are down here, the other day I shot a 55cm silver drummer out of Fortescue Bay.
Binalong ends up getting a lot of northern species because of its proximity to the East Australian Current- it’s why it has huge urchin barrens whereas they haven’t reached further south as extensively yet.

Where did your mate get the kingfish

Out in the Bay of Fires. They have been spotted all over it, in various locations. Near drop offs, where sand meets reef, etc.

Hey could i get the Civiche Recipe? That looks so nice, might be some point in shooting wrasse after all

So many awesome ways to do ceviche!
The wrasse one was a little different, in that we used a bit of a soy, ginger, chilli sauce in with it. The other one was a traditional Chilean style ceviche. Personally, I like to use more lime than lemon, usually going a 2:1 ratio (or sometimes completely lime). A bit of sesame oil is also a great trick!
I've posted another video with a herring cale ceviche, which is a go-to of mine including some Mexican spices: th-cam.com/video/Ks4obFQIwMI/w-d-xo.html
Not the most sought after fish, but gotta be my favourite for a ceviche!
