  • Cable Smith, the host of the Lonestar Outdoor Radio Show, teamed up with John X Safaris on his very first hunt to the Dark Continent. While Cable came in search of plains game in the East Cape he would never have envisaged hunting the largest Mountain Reedbuck to date by John X Safaris in over 30 years or digging for 5 hours to retrieve his Warthog in what seemed to be the largest network of Warthog tunnels we've ever discovered. If you want to see crazy then don't miss this epic adventure!

    This lengthy African hunting video was so well done that I watched the entire episode. I was especially impressed with the ability of this particular PH to express himself well in English. Since he did most all of the talking that was what attracted and kept my attention. The hunter was an incredible shot which made for a very exciting video. Thank You!

    This is Danie Gerber from Port Elizabeth, most probably the best hunting video of all, and there are many..... hunted with Hendrik from Huntshoek, and Harold from Buffs Billsons, and all over the Eastern Cape, this is what we are made of over hete......fantastic PH with awesome detail of all the hunts!!.....great all round experience for hunter and viewers.

    Great hunt, some really nice trophies. Client seem like a nice, down to earth guy too, no brash Americanisms at all :)

    Great! One thing though.....the shot taken on the zebra: Animals behind the target/target not clear. That should not be done

    Shot on the hartebeest - did the bullet break up? I saw two puffs of dust behind. Regards.

    Top shelf for the african hunting videos. Always a pleasure to watch these well put together productions. Just out of curiosity what bullets was he running in the 7mm rem mag?

    Shiiiit that’s a big mountain reedbuck, I shot a Rowland Ward one back in 2013 in Cathcart. He was just under 7”... my favorite animal to hunt

    I wish the PH would stop saying “my man”.

    • @DW-hk2bx
      @DW-hk2bx 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I share that sentiment. A very good PH but the constant "my man" does not belong in the bush. Just seams very out of place and a tad over done.

      Having lived in South Africa for 23 years, Afrikaners do not speak English in the same way as Americans. This Afrikaans PH spoke excellent English for an Afrikaner. The term “my man” was an expression of honor and respect for the client. The repetitive use of the term was simply indicative of an Afrikaner speaking in his second language. Most Americans speak only one language. This PH spoke at least two and he likely also spoke some measure of Xhosa, the local vernacular of that area. I believe he deserves some credit for his language acquisition skills.
