Woo 14 books!! Escape the readathon is so motivating to read! The return has been on my physical tbr for awhile, but I'm just getting very mid vibes from it. Omg the epilogue for just like mother blew my mind lol 🤣 Inside out is so gross and I loved it so much. It's so short but it feels so much longer in a good way. YESSS so glad you loved the eyes are the best part. Easy 5 star read for me too. I absolutely loved it!
Ooo I have been intrigued by Inside Out for the cover alone is amaaaaazing so I may have to give it a shot when I’m in a book buying mood. And Cackle is probably my least fave Harrison book simply for what you said - there’s not resolution regarding the toxic friendship. Or atleast not one that satisfies me. But I remember listening to it throughout the entire process of me moving out of my classroom. I was able to connect with the character who is really emotional and making big moves in her life. Very relatable! So I have a little soft spot in my heart for it. The return is probably my favorite of hers because I read it at a time when I was having huge anxieties and issues around friendships a few years back and I found it to be very cathartic, which is an aspect of her work I really enjoy and find so rare.
Ooo so interesting that we have opposite opinions on RH books. I can see how the Return would be relatable there. I love how she writes her characters, I think I just wanted more of the creepy and less of wondering what to do about it
Ruin and Rising being 2 star. Yep exactly Anne Heltzel and I have beef after that ending 😡😡😡 I wish there was more cult stuff in Just Like Mother as well! Give us a prequel or something pls miss girl Yesss the 4.5 Cackle deserves 😁. For me it was a 4 because nobody was 💅 even though they very much acted that way. Real for the mommy issues comment 🤣 I can't waaait to read The Eyes Are The Best art! I just know I'm going to be obsessed 🙌
howwww did you get 57 mins down to 21? Impressive! I loved the six of crows duology! I did read it quite a few years ago, I wonder if I would feel the same today. I just really loved Inej. I loved Cackle for how it romanticized being in a relationship with yourself. I would love to see that more.
Impressive wrap-up, and congratulations on finding a new 5-star read! 📚 It’s always exciting to discover standout books amidst the mix.
You convinced me to add Behind Closed Doors to my TBR! ☺️
