One of the things I like about george is his use of old grappling techniques from the older generations of boxing. That forward guard to catch punches, using the hands to manipulate the opponent's position. Only better grappler in boxing was duran

@@emzid5105 ...no, what you are saying is what appears at a first observation but in reality, if you look closely, his shots enter, even though they are slow, because he prepares the gap with feints or by unbalancing his opponent, and it is this is its greatest dowry... not power, with that you wouldn't do anything without having an opening to pass through.
He creates a pass using his brain and only then does the power of the shot come into play.

@Lev _ nobody said it was black and white. But if this was a race to see who hit the hardest Foreman is the number one horse. Good punchers aren't made, and no not every heavyweight can punch hard, been countless heavyweights with a poor ko record. Punchers are born. How can you say the man can't punch after what he did to Frazier? Not once but twice, who apart from Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson is one of the best, slickest heavyweights of all time. Shavers could bang, but wasn't on foremans level, Ron Lyle could punch, but not as hard or as nasty as George.
      Foreman, Wilder, Liston, Tyson.

possibly the most patient fighter I have ever seen in any combat sport. He often gets noted for his power, but he was also a very talented fighter. A lot of people forget that Archie Moore helped bring him up as a fighter and were close back in the day and it shows by the way he fought and is sparring here. smooth, calm, not rushing into the action, picking shots, his footwork for a big man that threw with exceptional power is phenomenal, his pivoting and positioning off the jab is just amazing if you pay attention closely... not too many big strong power punchers can move like that. Definitely a top-tier great, his comeback, his years in his prime all of it.... his greatness as a fighter is undeniable.

georgie's punches hurt even if these were not thrown hard.. as holyfield said once, fighting george is like fighting a brick wall.. the man cannot be moved... and when you want to attack him you just hit the wall head first.. even slap punches are very heavy...
