Hi, Fidel! Great question! Ours are not...none of the fans are set to move air out. It is a great point to take into consideration, though! Our thoughts with the design of the building were that with having the doorways all the way around the building, we could use them to create cross-ventilation, trying to draw air through the building, in hopes of accomplishing what you pointed out...moving stale air out of the barn & fresh air into the barn. We don't have any measured metrics to back up our observations, but we believe utilizing the north/south openings in tandem, & likewise the east/west openings in tandem (& all 4 sides simultaneously whenever possible) is accomplishing that air exchange effectively...one observation we feel is proof of it working is that we don't get any build-up of ammonia fumes or odor in the meat bird barn. Really great question...thank you for posting it!!!
I find Cornish Cross strangely cute; just something about these thick, fat little meat tanks with the emotional and intelligence threshold of a brick running around and eating nonstop is just endearing for some reason.
